After some back and forth new reports on whether the initial report was true, Olympian and former Gator Jeff Demps officially signed with the Patriots yesterday afternoon.

As reports came in that Demps decided to go with the Patriots after interest from The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets, his agent, Nohemy Baltodano took to twitter to deny the deal, saying  “those reports are untrue!”

Not sure what to make of his agent's angry denial, but it seems she was a little irked that she didn't get the spotlight to the make the announcement. Turns out Ms. Baltodano is a Clermont, Florida criminal defense lawyer who dabbles in representing athletes in contract negotiation. Go figure.

Demps won a silver medal as part of the U.S. team earlier this month, and with signing with the Patriots, will get a chance to return to London as the team travels across the pond to take of the St. Louis Rams on October 28th.

Ninkovich shifts from OLB to DE for Patriots

When he was an outside linebacker, Rob Ninkovich could spend more time covering receivers. He even intercepted two passes in two different games. He'd rather get sacks, and he has a better chance now that the New England Patriots have shifted him to his college position of defensive end. Playing on the line reduces Ninkovich's pass coverage responsibilities. He can focus...
