DeSean Jackson bursts into the top 10 on the strength of two eye-opening performances to start the season. Brandon Flowers is looking like a gametime decision and if he can’t go Jackson will draw Sean Smith; who gave up 5 receptions on 6 targets against Dallas last week. Don’t sleep on Kaepernick coming off a tough week in Seattle. I won’t make any excuses for the game, but, I do expect the 49ers and their QB to bounce back at home. Matchups dictate value. It would be nice if Brady could get Gronkowski on the field but for the time being he’s a fringe QB starter, nothing more. Sam Bradford and Alex Smith get boosts in the QB ranks this week. Bradford based on his strong play this season and the fact hat Dallas has given up the 5th most points to opposing QBs. Sure, part of that was in a come from behind effort from Eli Manning, but, the secondary hasn’t quite adjusted to the new scheme yet. Alex Smith because we’re giving everyone a big boost against the Eagles until they convince us otherwise. Don’t think of Lynch’s #2 rank as an overreaction to the Monday Night spectacle of this past week, but more as an acknowledgement of the fact that the Seahawks like to run at home and they should get out ahead of the Jaguars comfortably, early. That leaves lots of opportunity for Lynch and Robert Turbin (37). Lots of uncertainty at the position but right now I like James Starks and Joique Bell to receive big workloads this week, hence their ranks. Giovani Bernard comes in ahead of BJGE and in start worthy territory in 12 team leagues. He’s still unlikely to see big volume, but, has been electric with his hands on the ball to date. Expect Green-Ellis to still see more touches but Bernard to get the scoring chances and a bigger share of the workload this week than he’s had to date. If you need a bye week plugin, that’s fine. But let’s not get overly excited about Chris Ogbonnaya… there’s not much to like in the Browns offense this week. Andre Johnson is looking like he’s ready to go this week and continue his normal workload – he leads the league in targets – but that doesn’t mean that DeAndre Hopkins hasn’t earned his share of looks as well. He ranks as a good start in 12 team leagues (with 3 WRs). Marlon Brown edges out Eddie Royal at 36/37. Both players have scored in both games but Brown seems like the more logical bet to keep it up. He’s been consistent catching 4 balls on 6 targets in each game. Rob Gronkowski snuck into the TE rankings this week, but we’ll have a better sense of his value come Sunday. Jordan Cameron hangs around the top 10 as Cleveland is going to have to pass to someone and Minnesota is giving up more than 320 YPG through two contests, but again, there isn’t much to like with Hoyer throwing the ball this week. Eagles steal CB Roc Carmichael from Texans practice squad

Today the Philadelphia Eagles found themselves a steal in Roc Carmichael from the Houston Texans practice squad. A fourth-round pick in 2011, Carmichael missed his entire rookie year due to a shoulder injury and never recovered. He’ll add depth to the Eagles secondary with Brandon Hughes (hamstring) on short-term IR and can help on special teams. […]

WATCH: Eagles try 'Swinging Gate' on two-point attempt

After the Chiefs jumped to a 10-0 lead, the Eagles responded with a touchdown drive that included a 61-yard Michael Vick run followed by an impressive touchdown throw to Jason Avant. The Eagles then decided to go for two points in the first quarter, a decision that will be reexamined hundreds of times if this game is decided by a point. Still have to respect the balliness, given...

Cary Williams: Rivers 'seemed to know everything we were trying to throw at him'

San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers looked to have underwent sort of a rebirth to relevancy with the team's big win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Rivers picked apart the Eagles' D to precision in their thrilling 33-30 win. Harking back to the days when the Chargers were a formidable playoff team, they racked up 539 total yards, the most since 1985.

LeSean McCoy has a sprained ankle

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy went down with what seemed like a serious injury during last night’s loss to the Chiefs.  He ended up walking to the locker room to undergo X-Rays. Then McCoy came back on the field and finished the game and looked very impressive doing so. McCoy told reporters afterward that he sprained his right ankle. It will be interesting to see if McCoy is...

Hits keep on coming for QB Vick, Eagles

Whether he's in the pocket or on the move, Michael Vick keeps taking hits. Vick limped off the field after injuring his ankles on his final play in the Philadelphia Eagles' 26-16 loss to Kansas City Thursday night, but he would've returned if the game hadn't ended. He may not be so lucky next time. Vick has taken plenty of shots in the first three games, an ominous...

LeSean McCoy Leaves with Leg Injury

Eagles halfback LeSean McCoy suffered a right leg injury in the second quarter of Thursday's game against Kansas City.Fantasy Spin:He was able to walk off the field on his own power, which is always an encouraging sign. NFL Network's sideline reporter Alex Flanagan saw McCoy throw down his helmet, so obviously he's very frustrated. We should have an update on McCoy'...

Fight Breaks Out at Eagles-Chiefs Game (Video)

Is anyone actually surprised by this?  Eagles’ fans fighting in the stands?  Seems like it would happen at every game.  Bleed Green!  See the video below: Michael Vick Test Driving Lamborghini’s Hours Before Chiefs Game? Mike Vick Has His Own Wave Brush Line

Michael Vick Test Driving Lamborghini’s Hours Before Chiefs Game?

Allegedly Mike Vick went out and test drove a Lambo just hours before his team was set to take on the Chiefs.  On a short week of practice and preparation, it doesn’t seem like a good idea to be doing such things, but who I am to judge.  I just know it was BY FAR Vick’s worst performance of the season.  I can’t imagine Peyton Manning test driving Buicks hours before playing...

Eagles place Brandon Hughes on short-term IR; sign Roc Carmichael

Cornerback Brandon Hughes' second stint with the Philadelphia Eagles appears to be coming to an end. Just a week after being re-signed by the Eagles, Hughes has been placed on the short-term injured reserve list, and will be released as soon as he can pass a physical, according to Darrin Gantt of Pro Football Talk.Hughes was on the field for 22 snaps in Sunday's 33-30 loss...

Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Fantasy Football Takeaways

The high powered Philadelphia Eagles offense found it’s match Thursday Night as a stingy Kansas City Chiefs defense held Chip Kelly’s high-powered attack to just 16 points, in a 26-16 victory that included five Eagle turnovers, three by quarterback Michael Vick. One thing is for sure, it’s not the way the Eagles wanted to welcome back former head coach Andy Reid, who came...

Michael Vick: Andy Reid’s One Of The Greatest Men I’ve Ever Met

Michael Vick owes Andy Reid his life. I know that may be a bit overboard, but the fact is Vick owes Andy Reid a ton.  Upon being released from prison in 2008, Vick wasn’t sure he’d get another shot in the league. The first and maybe only phone call Vick got after his release was from Big Red himself.  Vick of course went on to win the Eagles job a year later, signed another...

The Best Moments From Chiefs-Eagles

Even if the resulting Eagles fan despair is satisfying, it feels like viewers got gypped out of what was a truly intriguing match-up. Like, if this were the Sunday night game, it probably would have played out a lot more smoothly and been thoroughly exciting to watch.Instead, it was mostly just yet another reason why weekly Thursday games are a bad idea. Of course, even bad games...

Chiefs vs. Eagles Recap: Simply Put KC 3-0

It wasn’t a pretty NFL game but in the end the better team won Thursday night. In defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 26-16, the Kansas City Chiefs move to 3-0 and lay claim that 2013 could become something special.
