DeSean Jackson lead the year with punts returned in his rookie year with the Philadelphia Eagles. As a primary option in Any Reid’s offense, it was no surprise to see Reid reduce the amount of returns Jackson had over the next couple years. With new head coach Chip Kelly, it appears that Jackson will be handling most of the returns this year.
Even with the higher risk of injury, it seems that Jackson is excited about returning kicks again.
Punt return is going to be a big factor,” Jackson said Monday, via Philadelphia Magazine. “Kind of bring my niche back out there and help that punt-return team. Not only that, just go out there and make plays, get that electrifying unit back, to be able to go out there and score touchdowns at any given time
Everyone remembers the new Miracle at the Meadowlands, so it comes as no surprise that Kelly would want Jackson to return kicks. Jackson is the type of receiver that Kelly likes; fast. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kelly used Jackson beyond just receiving and punt returning. For Jackson, it appears, if this means he has opportunities to score (and brag about) more touchdowns, Jackson is all ready to impress his new head coach.

Chip Kelly has turned out to be not just an offensive trailblazer, but also a health nut. He debuted personalized smoothies last month, catereing to each player's specific diet regimen.
And that was only the beginning.
Reporting live from Eagles headquarters Monday, ESPN's Jeannine Edwards made note of Kelly's transformation of the team's cafeteria into a beacon...
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Philadelphia Eagles and former Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones have come to terms on a contract.
The former first round pick selected by the Dallas in the 2008 NFL Draft, wasn’t re-signed by the team and the Eagles will get a solid third down change of pace running back.
Jones never panned out as an every down back and injuries...
Not the best way to express your opinion, but it’ll probably get you lead story on Fox News. And isn’t federal offense to urinate on government property?
But that’s not stopping Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Evan Mathis from taking his frustrations out about the allegations that the Internal Revenue Service targeted and put the screws to conservative groups who...
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out where Philadelphia Eagles guard Evan Mathis lies on the political spectrum.
If you’re behind on the news, in recent days the IRS has come under intense scrutiny illegally targeting specific groups. According to reports, the IRS systematically singled out conservative groups — specifically ones with Tea Party-sounding names — for extra...
Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Evan Mathis posted a photo of himself on his Instagram account, peeing on the sign in front of the IRS building.
This certainly may not be the smartest thing to do since he’s technically breaking the law by peeing in public and defacing public property.

It sounds like Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is ready to pull out all stops with his offense. Running back LeSean McCoy told the Delaware County Times that wide receiver DeSean Jackson may also line up in the back field at times.
“There might be plays where DeSean is in the backfield, you never know,” running back LeSean McCoy said. “I mean every time we come...

The Eagles may want to invest in name tags with all the money they’ve saved from canceling “taco Tuesday” and “fast food Friday.”
LeSean McCoy was calling rookie quarterback Matt Barkley “Mark” at practice on Monday. And it wasn’t some lame hazing attempt, the All-Pro running back really thought that was the rookie quarterback’s name.
If McCoy is calling one of...
Philadelphia Eagles QB Matt Barkley is the rookie getting the most attention as mini-camps have begun. That’s the way it is for now, though, since quarterbacks usually garner the most publicity and he’s the newest bird in the nest at this position. To his credit, Barkley has handled everything extremely well since the day he was drafted. Right after learning he was an Eagle...
After all that abuse from Eagles fans during his time in Philly, going back to his name being selected in 1999 draft, Donovan McNabb will return to Philadelphia for a yet-to-be scheduled retirement ceremony.
McNabb said, via NBC Sports Radio (via NFL.com) on Monday that the team thinks Sept. 19th would be a good time to do it, as the Kansas City Chiefs are in town. So Andy Reid...
This is funny. I'll give Evan Mathis that. However, at the same time I don't think it was a very wise thing to do. It doesn't matter if he actually did or not the message that he is trying to get across by looking like he is urinating on an IRS sign is pretty clear (totally makes me think of those Calvin decals).
Hopefully for his sake the IRS is not feeling vindictive...
Either somebody in this story is lying, or this is just ridiculous. The Eagles finally got together as a full team today to start their OTA’s as a full unit.
Fourth round pick and former USC star Matt Barkley got the chance to meet all of his new teammates. Something hilarious happened throughout the day according to Les Bowens of the Philadelphia Daily News.
According to Bowens...
