The Victory Formation:
A couple of weeks ago, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay caused a stir for most of this team’s fans when he began tweeting about the ogranization zeroing in on a wide receiver. However, there were no inklings from him or anyone else, as to who the receiver was. We supposed it was Randy Moss, as most of the bigger names weren’t ones they could afford. But with no deal in place, we are left to wonder. But a report from Adam Schefter early Monday morning may give us an inkling to just who Irsay was tweeting about: Maybe this is @jimirsay‘s WR … Former Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey is expected to visit Colts as early as today. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 25, 2013 It would be a bit of a letdown if this was the case. while Darrius Heyward-Bey is a name we all know, he isn’t exactly a player that brings a ton of excitement. Heyward-Bey’s name is best known for being drafted way before anyone ever expected him in 2009. The seventh overall pick in 2009 is the epitome of the Al Davis era in Oakland, specifically Davis’ obsession with speed. Many expected Michael Crabtree, Jeremy Maclin, [...]

It was reported earlier today that Carson Palmer isn’t willing to restructure his contract to help the Oakland Raiders.
If the Raiders decide to keep Palmer, he’ll account for over $15 million against the cap in 2013. If he ends up getting released he’ll account for just over $9 million, but the Raiders will save $6 million per Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times.
Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts plan to bring in former Oakland Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey in for a visit, possibily today.
Owner Jim Iray has been dropping hints on Twitter about a big signing, but we're pretty sure DHB doesn't qualify for all the hoopla.
Bey was Al Davis' prized 2009 pick, 7th overall, who was supposed...

The Oakland Raiders have interest in Mike Jenkins but nothing is finalized.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that free agent WR Darrius Heyward-Bey will visit the Colts.
Schefter adds that the visit could take place as early as Monday.
Owner Jim Irsay tweeted that they were close to reaching an agreement with a receiver, so there’s a chance Heyward-Bey was the player he was referring to.
Since being release by Oakland, there’s been almost no reported...

The Oakland Raiders' Jared Veldheer is working out this offseason. A lot.
The 6'8" left tackle was an athletic 321 pounds last season in the Raiders' zone-blocking scheme (it's crucial to have athletic offensive linemen in that scheme; the Houston Texans show it...
Does free-agent receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey leave Indianapolis Tuesday with or without signing a contract?
That's the key question for the Detroit Lions, who reportedly would be the next team to get a visit from the seventh pick overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.
The Lions are in search of a receiver to replace Titus Young, released last month following a series of discipline...
With quarterback Carson Palmer “highly unlikely” to accept a
pay cut from the Oakland Raiders – according to Adam Schefter of ESPN – it looks
more likely that the team will elect to part ways with the veteran. If that
happens, the Arizona Cardinals could be one of the teams to express interest in
Palmer, according to Pro Football Talk.
Interesting: now "highly unlikely...
Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic expects to see the Cardinals show interest in QB Carson Palmer if the Raiders decide to part ways with him in the next few weeks.
Somers adds that the Cardinals don’t appear to be targeting a quarterback in the first-round, but could look to add someone later in the draft.
“I think all speculators look at need and not the draft board,” said...
