While in Massechusets on Sunday for the Dolphins matchup with the Patrtiots, Miami center Mike Pouncey was given a gran jury subpoena by state police, according to SI.com.
A source with knowledge of the matter told SI.com that the subpoena is related to the investigation into Aaron Hernandez, Pouncey’s close friend and former teammate at the University of Florida. The source indicated that police are focusing in on Hernandez’s potential involvement in interstate gun trafficking, which is being investigated by several agencies in multiple states — at least Massachusetts, New York and Florida.
The extent of Pouncey’s potential involvement is undetermined, but police are focusing on multiple transactions that involve him and Hernandez. “Organizationally, we do not have a comment,” said Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene. “And Mike Pouncey does not have a comment.”
The good news for Pouncey is this doesn’t mean he’ll be charged with a crime.
A grand jury subpoena does not mean Pouncey, 24, has been or will be charged with a crime. Rather, law enforcement officials regard him as a material witness who could advance their case against Hernandez. Dolphins officials indicated Pouncey would be traveling back home with the team Sunday night.
Massechusets State Police approached Pouncey in the hallway that led to the Dolphisn team bus.
“It’s about a grand jury investigation,” one official could be heard telling Pouncey. The same police official later said, “Make sure you arrive.”
Pouncey was confused about what was going on.
He asked, ” What’s this about?”
Pouncey will certainly find out what the state police want with him when he arrives in court.

While the Miami Dolphins have gotten lost this season dropping their last four games, for one Dolphin, Mike Pouncey might have his focus on other things.
In the off season, Pouncey and his brother Maurkice sported Free Hernandez hats at their birthday and the incident quietly went away as both apologized publicly and privately.
However, yesterday after getting beat by...
The Miami Dolphins walked out of Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon with a disappointing loss after holding the New England Patriots to just three points in the first quarter. Miami led 17-3 going into halftime with a 17-3 lead, and Patriots QB Tom Brady appeared to emerge onto the field in the second half with a swollen passing hand. At the end of the game, the Dolphins surrendered...

Was there anything that Aaron Hernandez didn’t do?
It appears to me anyway that they police are trying to build as many cases against Hernandez because their murder case might fall apart.
Pouncey being subpoenaed is just another example of the prosecution looking for anyone to give them more evidence against Hernandez in whatever criminal activity he’s been involved in. Pro...
Aaron Hernandez is quietly sitting in jail, but nothing surrounding this once loved NFL star is ever quiet. TMZ has learned that one of Hernandez’ fellow inmates attempted to steal his identity for souvenir purposes.
The story seems to be that shortly after Hernandez was arrested, he was taken to the medical wing for treatment. One of the inmates saw his medical badge and thought...

Remember a few months ago when Dolphins center Mike Pouncey and his twin brother wore “free Hernandez” hats in support of their former college teammate, Ex-Patriot and accused murderer, Aaron Hernandez? Well now, Pouncey has an opportunity to put that support in action. The center was served on Sunday by Massachusetts State Police with a grand jury subpoena, less...
Via SITaking a page out of my fantasy TE strategy from the past couple of years, the Massachusetts State Police have kept Aaron Hernandez tightly handcuffed since most of Hernandezes friends are disciples of the Belichickian “snitches get stitches” code. But now SIs reporting that State Troopers served Miami Dolphins Center/former Hernandez teammate Mike Pouncey with a subpoena...
