The Miami Dolphins returned to the practice field Wednesday morning, following their off day yesterday.  Surprisingly, the Dolphins were in jersey and shorts, but no pads.  I say it’s surprising because the team worked on fundamentals on Sunday, so 2 of the last 3 days have been largely non-tackling practices.  This for a team that has had its issues with missed tackles early in the preseason.  Add to that the observation of Chris Perkins of the Sun Sentinel that the players were dragging today in a ‘low energy practice’.  I would expect a hard hitting practice tomorrow morning, as it is the last practice before the Dolphins head to Houston to take on the Texans. Photo Courtesy of Onto the practice field - John Jerry, who has been out for about 3 weeks with a knee injury, returned to practice today.  Not only did he return to practice, but he was inserted into the starting right guard position.  It was funny to watch fans talk about Jerry’s return, on Twitter.  The Dolphins have been doing everything in their power to replace Jerry, but none of his replacements have been up to the task.  Hopefully Jerry can continue to improve and most importantly, keep his weight under control. According to Armando Salguero, Jerry will likely sit out the Dolphins game in Houston this weekend.  Jerry left practice early to continue rehab and was replaced by Josh Samuda. - Nate Garner is one of those replacements I just wrote about.  Unfortunately for Nate, he has a shoulder injury that will keep him out indefinitely, according to Jeff Darlington of NFL Network.  Garner has flashed some ability, but he seems to come down with a new injury every season. - The Dolphins resigned QB Aaron Corp, as Pat Devlin was unable to practice today.  We suspect Devlin is hurt again.  Why else would the Dolphins sign a QB to take reps in practice?  It most likely wouldn’t be for just one day.  (continued on page 2, CLICK HERE)

Rookie kicker low-key after winning Dolphins job
