The idea of the Eagles trading away Brandon Graham has been heavily speculated about since the end of last season.  It almost seemed as if it was a foregone conclusion he would have been dealt by, or during, the NFL Draft. We all know the reasoning…square peg/round hole, not the size Chip Kelly prefers, not a good “space” player, bad scheme fit, etc., etc.  Now here we are at the spring OTAs and Graham is running with the second team defense. However, how long will that last? According to Graham, he’ll be here for this year at least after being peppered with questions about the trade rumors (quote courtesy of Les Bown/Philly Daily News): “I feel like they want me here, because I’m still here . . . I felt like if it was something they wanted to do, I’d be gone.” I’m glad he has a positive attitude, but I’m just not so sure about that reasoning. According to an actual report by Bob Grotz earlier this offseason, the Eagles did in fact try to trade him (the Graham and a 2nd for Dion Jord

New list suggests rival head coach of Philadelphia Eagles will be fired in 2014

We’re nearing the time of the summer (it is summer now, right?) where everyone and their brother is going to come out with a “bold predictions” column for the 2014 NFL season. Might we do one of those down the road? Sure, why not? But for now no one’s ready to truly lay it all on the line — or at least they shouldn’t be in late May. Instead, let’s take a look at ten...

Mark Sanchez says he's entering 'prime of his career' with Eagles

Mark Sanchez has gone from Rex Ryan, who barely knew a quarterback from a defensive back, to Chip Kelly, master of offensive matriculation. To say the veteran signal-caller likes the change in scenery would be underselling it. "I love being here. This is the best place I could have landed," Sanchez said Thursday, via Kimberley A. Martin of Newsday. Though Sanchez is...

Jeremy Maclin 'doing fantastic' at Eagles OTAs

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin missed all of last season with a torn ACL that he sustained during training camp and the long road back of rehabilitation to get back on the field has been full-go this week. Without any limitations at practice, and no lingering signs as a result of the injury led coach Chip Kelly to say “Mac’s doing fantastic,” via Eagles.com.

Eagles’ Brandon Graham Addresses Trade Rumors

Photo: David Maialetti / Philly.com There is still hoopla surrounding the Eagles’ first round pick from 2010, and it won’t go away anytime soon. This offseason — particularly leading up to the NFL Draft — saw multiple reports surfacing that Graham was potentially on his way out of Philadelphia. While he has yet to perform consistently from his position at defensive end, the...

Kelly happy to have Maclin at full go

All Jeremy Maclin could do was watch, wait and work. But he couldn’t play. For an ultra-competitive player such as Maclin, it was quite difficult. After suffering a torn ACL in training camp last year, Maclin was unable to be part of the new-look Philadelphia Eagles, who finished 10-6 and captured an NFC East title under coach Chip Kelly. Fast forward nearly a year and the...

Mark Sanchez believes he's 'just entering the prime of my career'

It's kind of difficult to think about Mark Sanchez on any team other than the Jets. But he's a member of the Eagles now and he's determined to make the most of it. Despite the presence of Nick Foles as Philly's starter and Matt Barkley with a year under his belt, Sanchez thinks he can make a difference. He also said he's "just entering" the "prime...

2014 Fantasy Football Team Preview: Philadelphia Eagles

USATSI Fantasy Stars: Nick Foles: One could argue Foles was the key reason the Eagles made the playoffs last season with his emergence in the wake of Vick’s injury. He had a phenominal year coming through for so many fantasy owners that took a flier on him on the waiver wire. Don’t expect to see him on the waiver wire anymore. He’s definitely a top 8 fantasy QB in my book and...

Mark Sanchez: I’m Entering The Prime Of My Career

Mark Sanchez told Kimberley A. Martin of Newsday that he’s “entering the prime of his career” and he “couldn’t have landed with a better organization.” “I just kept thinking, ‘Eagles. This is the place to be,’” Sanchez said. “I really respected what they did last year. … And I think they have a ton of talent, especially at the wideout position, tight end...

Mark Sanchez believes he is in the prime of his career

After being released from the New York Jets this offseason, Mark Sanchez was looking for a fresh start. Sanchez is now with the Philadelphia Eagles and loves that he is playing for an offensive minded coach in Chip Kelly. He also comes into a situation where he doesn’t have the pressure of being the star of a franchise. After missing all of last season due to a shoulder injury...

Philadelphia Eages: Mark Sanchez says “I’m Just Entering the Prime of My Career”

Despite leading the New York Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship Games in 2009 and 2010, Mark Sanchez never really put up big numbers as a starting quarterback. His best season came in 2011 when he threw for 26 touchdowns, but he’s never been considered one of the top signal callers in the league. If you asked Sanchez why that is, he’d tell you it’s because he’s” just...

Mark Sanchez: I’m ‘Just Entering The Prime Of My Career’ With Eagles

The only person who believes Mark Sanchez’s best playing days are ahead of him might be Mark Sanchez himself. The quarterback, who saw his career fly completely off the rails near the end of his tenure with the New York Jets, landed this offseason in Philadelphia, where he’ll certainly be buried on the depth chart behind reigning Pro Bowler Nick Foles and possibly second-year...

How does the 2014 off-season impact the defensive starting lineup?

The Philadelphia Eagles solved a lot of issues quicker than many fans and pundits expected in 2013. In going from 4-12 to 10-6, they found answers at a number of positions that had very recently been problematic. That said, the Eagles were one of the healthiest teams in football and still managed to be easily exposed when players like Bradley Fletcher and Earl Wolff missed time with...
