Even though they’re based in New York and are the reigning Super Bowl champs, the Giants don’t receive anywhere near the same amount of media coverage that the Jets do.  The disparity can be traced nowadays to the “Tebow Factor,” as the Jets backup QB draws more media attention than Eli Manning and the rest of the Giants combined.  Case in point—just look at what happened when Tim Tebow went for an innocent run in the rain, sans t-shirt.  Eli could cure cancer while rescuing a litter of kittens from a burning building completely naked and it wouldn’t warrant the same amount of attention as a soaking wet, half naked Tebow. "I told David Carr to take his shirt off while we were running...

Tim Tebow and the Wildcat

Tim Tebow is a pretty mediocre quarterback, but he’s a hell of a football player. I thought Denver was nuts to draft him in the first round, as he wasn’t a good investment as a traditional drop back passer. Even so, his competitiveness and athletic ability helped him lead the Broncos to some incredible victories. That said, few teams wanted him after the Broncos jumped on the...

Jets unveil Tebow in goal-line offense

Usually, quarterbacks are off limits to taking hits from the defense during NFL practices, but when the Jets unveiled their goal-line offense on Thursday with Tim Tebow taking the snaps, coach Rex Ryan took the unusual step of telling the defense that the drill was live, meaning they could tackle Tebow. "When he said it was live, that made me smile," said Tebow, according...

Giants owner takes another dig at Jets, Tebow

Remember around four months ago, when Giants owner John Mara decided to mock the Jets over Tim Tebow's much-ballyhooed arrival? Yeah, well, he's at it again. During an interview Wednesday on ESPN New York 98.7 FM, Mara was asked whether he'd heard of Jerry Jones' latest salvo in the Giants-Cowboys rivalry. His answer had nothing to do with Big D, and everything...
