PLAYERS: Eric Wood
TEAMS: Buffalo Bills
Bills fans haven’t had much to celebrate in 2012, but many took small pleasure in hearing Eric Wood finally say what’s been on every players mind for the last five years. It sure does suck to only have seven home games every year. Don’t get me wrong, much like Wood, I love Toronto. It’s a great city with some great sports fans, but this is not a fit for an NFL team to visit. Whether or not they deserve their own NFL team is a different debate altogether. Until they do have their own though, it’s not fair to expect them to embrace the Buffalo Bills as their own. This blatant money grab by the Bills, while commendable in its shrewdness, does not address the core challenges the Buffalo Bills face as a franchise in a meaningful way.… Read more

Bills Could Release QB Ryan Fitzpatrick To Save Millions

ESPN’s James Walker writes that the Buffalo Bills could get out from under QB Ryan Fitzpatrick‘s a $59 million and cut $4.45 million off of their cap next season, as well as an addition $7.45 million in actual cash. Bills WR Johnson puts up big plays on losing team

Stevie Johnson's season has gone much like the one-handed catch the Buffalo Bills receiver made last weekend. It looked marvelous: Johnson leaping over the middle to snag the ball with one hand, bring it in and control it before he landed on the turf for a 25-yard gain. Trouble is, the drive stalled and Buffalo lost the game. ''It's a pretty cool catch,''...

Stevie Johnson closing in on Bills receiving record

Over the years, the Bills have had elite wide receivers post excellent numbers, but there’s one record that star wideout Stevie Johnson has that stands above the rest.  Johnson is about to do something that legendary Buffalo Bills like Andre Reed and Eric Moulds couldn’t accomplish… Post back-to-back-to-back 1000 yard receiving seasons. No Buffalo Bill had ever had back-to...

Buffalo Bills to stay in Buffalo for awhile

((ht: Scratch one more team from the potential "Move to L.A" theory in the NFL. State lawmakers and the Buffalo Bills announced Friday morning they've come to an agreement that will keep the football team playing in Buffalo, for more than likely at least the next 10-years. The deal all but locks the team in, by stipulating any relocation would...

Buffalo Bills sign lease to keep them in Buffalo for 10 more years

Today the Buffalo News put out a tweet saying that the Bills have in fact agreed to a 10 year lease that would keep the Bills in Buffalo.  This is huge news on the day that everyone thought the world would end.  Well instead of the world ending, maybe it is a day for a new beginning, and the Bills will begin to win? Just a thought? Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is on his way to Orchard...

ESPN’s Kevin Connors Answers 12 Questions for the 12th Man!

First and foremost, I’d like to thank Kevin Connors for joining me as I dust off 12 Questions with the 12th Man. Most will recognize Kevin from his job as anchor of SportsCenter, but I’ve gotten to know him on Twitter as a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. Connors has very insightful opinions on the Bills, both current and past, and I know that all Bills fans will enjoy this interview...

Buffalo Bills: Week 16 NFL Power Rankings (#23)

Last week: 23 (+0) Record: 5-9 Net points per drive: -0.58 (28th) DVOA: -10.0% (22nd) Weighted DVOA: -7.8% (22nd) The Bills have two divisional games left with equal caliber teams. They beat the Dolphins in Buffalo and now travel to Miami. They lost to the Jets in New York and now host them. Common logic says they should split those two games, which would put them at 6-10. I don’t...

Ryan Fitzpatrick v. Chan Gailey: Who Should Stay and Who Should Go?

Howard Simon of WGR550 recently asked Buffalo Bills fans who they would rather see return to the team in 2013. Realistically, both Gailey and Fitzpatrick could leave the team following the season, but I like this scenario. Having to choose just one person to stay creates quite an argument among Bills fans. Some believe that Ryan Fitzpatrick deserves to show what he could do in a...

True or False: Bills/Dolphins Edition

True or false: The Bills/Dolphins game is totally meaningless? True. Okay, that’s a bit harsh, as there are draft implications, but it’s unfortunate that this game has no playoff implications (Dolphins are still alive but they need a miracle to sneak into the playoffs). Back when I was a child it seemed that the Bills and Dolphins had one of the top rivalries in the NFL and generally...

Gameday Deciding Factors: Bills at Dolphins

BY SEAN DONOVANNot much has gone well for the Buffalo Bills (5-9) this season, but completing the sweep of the host Miami Dolphins (6-8) would be some measure of consolation for a team missing the playoffs for the 13th consecutive year. (photo: Matt Britt, Flickr)In the first meeting in November, Buffalo's defense stymied Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill en route to a 19-14...
