There are some really tough match ups this week that don’t favor wide receivers that normally are consistent in their fantasy scoring. Sorting through the tough schedule, these are the three guys that will be on top for fantasy scoring in a PPR format league in Week 6.

Demaryius Thomas – Denver Broncos

To start the season there were many question marks surrounding the Denver Broncos offense. The big question mark was Peyton Manning and how he would play following a year off last year due to his neck issues.

The next question, especially from a fantasy perspective, is if Manning is healthy, who will be his go to guy?

Manning has consistently put up over 20 fantasy points so far in this young NFL season. The other question has also been answered as well. Manning’s number one target is Demaryius Thomas.

Thomas has really come into his own, making amazing catches and making things happen week after week. This week, I project Thomas to have his best game yet. The Broncos roll into San Diego this Monday night to take on the Chargers.

Last week, San Diego let Drew Brees tear right through them, throwing for 370 yards and 4 touchdown passes. Manning will more than likely duplicate these numbers and the main recipient will be Demaryius Thomas. Thomas already has 30 receptions for 513 yards and 2 touchdowns. Thomas will go over 150 yards and will score at least 1 touchdown this Monday.

Larry Fitzgerald – Arizona Cardinals

Fitzgerald had a very nice week last week in the Cardinals loss against the Rams; in fact, he would be considered the lone bright spots in the Cardinals offense in that game. He had 8 receptions for 92 yards. In a PPR format, that is a solid performance for fantasy owners.

This week the Cardinals look to rebound at home against the Buffalo Bills who have had a horrible start to their season defensively, giving up piles of yards and scores. Their big acquisition of Mario Williams is nothing but a big flop at this point in the season.

The Bills have given up 74 points the last 2 games! This just spells O-P-P-O-R-T-U-N-I-T-Y for Larry Fitzgerald this week. I look for a very nice performance from Fitz this week; 120 yards and at least one touchdown.

Andre Johnson – Houston Texans

Johnson was shut down by the New York Jets on Monday night, specifically by Antonio Cromartie. Why would I pick Andre Johnson as a top 3 guy this week after boasting only a point or 2 for his fantasy owners? Well, let me explain; the Texans are taking on the Packers Sunday night.

The Packers have given up huge chunks of receiving yards. For example, in last week’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay gave up over 200 yards and a touchdown to Reggie Wayne. The week before, Drew Brees lit the Packers up for 446 passing yards and 3 TDs.

Andre Johnson rarely has a game like he just did against the Jets and I’m sure he will be out to prove his critics wrong this week. The Packers can’t and will not cover Andre Johnson, and he will easily be over 100 yards this week with a touchdown.
