Sunday, October 12, 2012 - A battle of epic proportions awaits us.   Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will face each other for the 13th time and not only the game itself but the Fantasy Football scoring could be huge!

Manning and Brady are quite possibly the top 2 quarterbacks we may ever see in this generation.    Tom Brady is the most poised QB I have ever seen. Calm, cool and collected, making every big play appear effortless.  Peyton Manning, the Professor of this game and in my opinion, the best play caller to ever stand at the line of scrimmage, directing traffic and anticipating things only Peyton Manning can anticipate.

Brady leads Manning 8-4 in their prior meetings and Manning is facing him for the first time as a Denver Bronco.

Anyone who is a football fan knows how great this game will be, but I really feel, the Fantasy Football factor will be huge!

So far this season, both QB's are relatively equal in their ratings;   Manning's QB rating is 96.9 and Brady's is a bit better at 102.4; both QB's have a 65 percent completion rating.  Overall so far this season; Brady is the 4th best QB and Manning is 6th.  These two are mirrored images of each other this year.

Now, let's talk about each teams pass defense so far this season;  Denver has given up 882 passing yards and New England has given up 1126.  New England's defense has looked shaky at times and Manning has to be drooling at the prospect of what he can do to the less than average New England secondary.

Denver has been hot and cold all year, giving up big pass plays at times and looking like a top tiered defense other times. The wishy washy play is like a proverbial roller coaster ride every Sunday, so many faces of this vulnerable pass defense.

As you can see, there are some stats to back up the fantasy scoring potential, but what it really comes down to is plain old football smart.  Any true NFL fan knows the competitive nature of both Manning and Brady, they both know how to win, they both are hungry to get their team to the next level after a shaky start.   This is a statement game for Manning, his chance to prove he is back.

Some felt he "was back" last week with a very impressive outing but we have to remember, that was against the Oakland Raiders, a team that is making every quarterback look good.   Brady is fighting for his team and his pride as the Patriots started the season looking like their window has closed, until the huge victory against the Bills last week. But, then again, the Bills defense is not impressive by any means.

My bold prediction is this;  Manning and Brady will light up the scoreboard for their Fantasy owners and will both be the top twp quarterbacks for the week, even against each other.   But, there is one thing that could blow my prediction out of the water - so to speak and that would be the weather.  Right now there is a 50 percent chance of showers on gameday, but, even that will not put out the fire that both Manning and Brady have deep inside.
