Jay Cutler, Chicago BearsJay Cutler came into this season as a lukewarm idea of a stud quarterback.Based on the fact the Bears' season went down the toilet last year following Cutler’s season-ending thumb injury and the addition of Brandon Marshall to the Bears' wide receiver tandem, many felt that Cutler could be a solid top 5 fantasy quarterback this year. Then there were some who felt the complete opposite and were not sold on Cutler based on past performance.  It is easy to say that we can meet in the middle here as Cutler has done a good job of controlling the offense but hasn’t fared so well as far as producing top notch fantasy stats. This week that will change. The Bears roll into Nashville on Sunday to take on the hot and cold Tennessee Titans. The Titans are ranked 29th in pass defense giving up an average of 282 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. The Bears have struggled a bit offensively the past few games and are desperate for a breakout game; this will be that game in which Jay Cutler and the Bears' wide receivers shine.  Carson Palmer, Oakland RaidersThe Oakland Raiders face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home this Sunday. Both teams have been impressive in their recent games. Tampa Bay’s offense and their rush defense have improved every week, but, their pass defense is less than desirable, currently ranked 31st in the NFL. The Bucs have given up an average of 309 pass yards per week and Carson Palmer has thrown for an average of 264 yards per week. It doesn’t take a mathematician to figure out that those stats confirm that more than likely, Carson Palmer is going to have an above average performance. Denarius Moore has been hot to say the least and has already grabbed 4 of Palmer’s 9 touchdown passes this year. Look for over 300 yards passing out of Palmer this week along with a pair of touchdown passes to Denarius Moore and maybe a third one to the tight end Brandon Myers who has racked up the yards and receptions but still hasn’t seen the end zone yet.  Myers will get his first touchdown and Palmer will not disappoint. The Raiders' offense looks to shine this week with Palmer leading the way.Cam Newton, Carolina PanthersAs crazy as this sounds, Newton is poised to finally bust out of his slump and get it done this week, not with his legs, but with his arm. Carolina heads on the road this week to face the Washington Redskins. Newton has to be up for this game as he is finally coming head to head against RG3 who has been compared to Newton all season. This is a situation that has NFL experts drooling at the chance to compare them head to head, especially since Newton is having a rough season while RG3 is set up to break many of the records that Newton set last year.  Newton has missed open receivers and looked flustered this season, he is frustrated and not used to losing. A breakout game could happen here as the Washington Redskins rank dead last for pass defense in the NFL.To the positive side of the Redskins' defense, they rank 10th against the rush so Newton really needs to count on his arm this week. If Newton can keep his emotions in check and get his game face back on, he will have his best game of the season and should rank in the top 5 for quarterbacks when this week is all said and done.
