When blacked out Bills games roll around it becomes very difficult to stay vested in their success. Considering that Sunday’s game along with the St. Louis and Jets games are likely to be blacked out, I’m pretty sure my Sundays are going to be free. If you plan on using the super-secret internet feed, good for you. If you plan on enjoying a Sunday with intermittent radio feed updates, I say even better. The Bills have successfully extended their plight another year and it wasn’t even for lack of trying this time around. Big money acquisitions in the offseason and a draft class with plenty of players expected to produce filled in the hope tank. Of course, the team sits at 4-7 with three painfully close losses on their schedule. Entering this week, there isn’t much to get excited about. The team’s most electric player continues to be used as a 8 bit part and you must remain resigned to the fact that the marriage with this noodle-armed signal caller will continue until ...

Super Mario finally finds his game in Buffalo

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By NICK MENDOLA Associated Press After a slow start to his career in Buffalo, Super Mario has found the next level. Too bad for the Bills and their fans, it's a little late for a realistic postseason push. Either way, the high-priced defensive end is starting to give Buffalo a bit of a return on its offseason investment. The Bills have slipped...

Q&A with Bloguin Bills blogger Joe

Ignoring the alliteration of the title of this article, we were approached this week, as sometimes happens, by Bloguin's own Bills blogger, "Joe," for a Q&A. So, we exchanged some questions, and the following is his answers. You can find my answers to his thought provoking questions here. Enjoy. TJ: Chan Gailey seems to be on the hot seat. Do you see him returning...

Donald Jones Questionable vs. Jaguars

Bills receiver Donald Jones is questionable for Sunday's game against Jacksonville with a calf injury.Fantasy Spin:Jones has just 30 yards in receiving over the past two games and remains a risky desperation play.

The Buffalo Bills piss me off!!

Yeah, I’m not sure why they cut your BFF either, Rian. For the first time in almost three full seasons, I’m missing a game on Sunday. I’ve got a nasty sinus infection and frankly, even if I’m in tip-top shape by the time Sunday morning rolls around I don’t feel like sitting around in the rain for half the day watching those assholes frustrate me even more. If the team...

Chan Gailey's Ego is killing Buffalo

"You can win the World Series without Babe Ruth.'' On a few occasions, Chan Gailey would tell his coaches this before the Bills hired him as coach. Now, you could view it as being a way to say we can get a team full of good players and win without a star player. It is a team game, right? Standard coach speaking. However, after about two and half seasons worth of...

STATS MAN: Steelers Pass Defense Second to None

Despite the fact that the 1978 Buffalo Bills were not a very good team, they hold a prestigious modern-day NFL team record (essentially by default).  The Chuck Knox-coached Bills finished 5-11, with opposing teams licking their chops in anticipation of pounding the ball against the porous Bills rushing defense; that season, Buffalo allowed an average of 201.8 rushing YPG, and allowed...

Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills: Week 13 NFL Pick

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9) at Buffalo Bills (4-7) One of the most powerful trends in betting is known as the six and six trend, meaning teams who finished with 6 wins or fewer are 23-64 ATS as favorites of 6 or more since 2002. There are two issues with this trend. One, it’s very rare (it only happened 4 times all last season, going 0-4 ATS). Two, it’s even rarer that a situation...
