Greg Salas got a bit of a demotion on Wednesday, one day after being waived by the Patriots. According to Mike Reiss from ESPN Boston, Salas was signed to the team's practice squad on Wednesday. The wide receiver was acquired from the Rams for a late-round conditional draft pick in 2015. Salas was a fourth-round-pick by the Rams out of Hawaii in 2011. He played under current Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels while in St. Louis and will be a nice piece to store in case of injury. Salas was released from the team in favor of Deion Branch, who...

Bibi Jones tweets half-naked picture with Rob Gronkowski, says Gronk dropped passes because of her

By and large, the whole Bibi Jones and Rob Gronkowski thing is old news. However, it would seem that Bibi is not finished with it just yet. Last year, the now-retired pornstar tweeted a photo of herself hanging out with Gronk and wearing his jersey. On Tuesday, she was once again talking about the Patriots tight end on her Twitter account and even tweeted the following revealing...

Does not playing Wes Welker give the Patriots the best chance to win?

It doesn’t make much sense on the surface, an All-Pro receiver under utilized when there is a dire need for him. Wes Welker had less snaps (43) than Julian Edelman (55), and Edelman is no Welker. Welker has caught the most passes since 2007, and he’s scratching his head on why he’s not getting more burn. Wes talked on WEEI in Boston with Mut, Lou, and Troy Brown about if...

Patriots Re-sign Deion Branch, release Salas.

Manchester, NH According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, The Patriots have come to terms with Deion Branch to return to the team. Patriots blog on @espnboston: Eighteen days later, now it’s a Deion Branch for Greg Salas swap. — Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) September 19, 2012 The Patriots have now twice in their history told Branch [...]

Wes Welker: No longer part of Patriots plans?

Wes Welker has been a key contributor to the New England Patriots for six years now. During this time, Welker has broken franchise records, tied Super Bowl records, and has the most receiving yards than anyone in the league. These are impressive numbers, but apparently not to the Patriots. According to Jamal Collier, (Bleacher Report), Wes Welker maybe on his way out of New England...

Old photo of Rob Gronkowski with ex-porn star surfaces on Twitter

It's been awhile since the sporting world has heard anything from Britney Maclin, who is a famed friend of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, and also known for her role as Bibi Jones in her pornography exploits. The two have been linked together in photos of the past and Tuesday night brought forth yet another glamorous shot. As Deadspin reasons, the picture above...

Fran Tarkenton, not Brady, shows his age

At age 72, Fran Tarkenton still has his opinions on the NFL, but maybe he should start keeping them to himself. The former quarterback said both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady aren't at the level they used to be. Tarkenton, who was a draft pick of the AFL's Boston Patriots in 1961, told the Pioneer Press that "Brady hasn't looked like Brady in two years." Tarkenton...

New England Patriots: Week 3 NFL Power Rankings (#3)

Last week: 3 (+0) Record: 1-1 In 2010, the Patriots lost to the Browns. In 2011, the Patriots lost to the Bills. They won 14 games in 2010 and 13 games in 2011. It wasn’t the end of the world then and it’s not the end of the world now. It’s football. Sometimes **** just happens for no reason. If the Patriots lost to the Ravens this week, then they’ve got an issue, but given...

2012 NFL Week 3: Survivor Pool Pick

If your reading this then you didn’t listen to me last week and avoided picking the New England Patriots like half of America did. Even though they lost, I will still contend that they were the “right pick.” They were the home team playing a West-Coast team traveling East for a 1:00 start. Plus, they’re the freaking Patriots!!! If you can’t tell I’m still a little bitter...

NFL Week 3: Patriots Offense Like Looking In Mirror Vs Ravens Offense On Sunday Night Football?

The New England Patriots became famous in NFL Draft circles for drafting multiple tight ends in the draft in various years. Drafting one in the first round never worked out as well, such as with Daniel Graham or Benjamin Watson, but once the Patriots learned that you could draft two or three in the second through seventh rounds instead of just one in the first, things started to...

Patriots-Ravens Preview

A late missed field goal sunk the Baltimore Ravens in last season's AFC championship game, sending the New England Patriots to their fifth Super Bowl since Bill Belichick and Tom Brady arrived in Foxborough. A similar ending has the Patriots feeling a bit of early season angst heading into Sunday's rematch with Baltimore, which is trying to shake off another heartbreaking...
