Just a day after officially hiring former Dolphins Head Coach Tony Sparano to become the new offensive coordinator, the Jets plan to meet with Todd Haley on Thursday, according to Jenny Vrentas at the Star-Ledger. While Haley seems to be the first name on the list, the Jets and Sparano have a backup plan. The Jets are also talking to David Lee about joining their coaching staff, according to ESPN.com. The Bills are also interested in Lee, according to the report. Randomly, we mentioned David Lee yesterday not thinking that he would be part of the Jets staff, but just to say that he was the innovative mind that brought the Wildcat to the NFL from his days with the Razorbacks.  Whoever is hired, the Jets and Sparano are wisely doing whatever they think it will take to make their offense as effective as possible.  It’s good that Sparano is comfortable enough with his limitations to be willing to allow for a passing coordinator.
