Some of the Raiders went out to celebrate Darren McFadden’s 26th birthday Tuesday night. (It looked like a swell night, BTW.) At some point of the evening cornerback Taiwan Jones was dared to jump over a car. Jones is the freak of an athlete who wasn’t even playing on defense last year and who, more notably, jumped out of a swimming pool backward once upon a time. If he completed the task successfully (oh yeah, and didn’t rip his pants), he would be $200 richer. If he did not, well, video of him falling flat on his face goes on the Internet. The stakes were high! Let’s see how this goes: In your face, Blake Griffin. That’s how you jump over a car. It was probably not the wisest move to make at this time, though. A misjudged jump or a disastrous landing and Reggie McKenzie’s job would suddenly get easier. But, hey, $200 is $200.

Oakland Raiders defensive back Taiwan Jones displayed his impressive athletic skill by jumping cleanly over a parked BMW while out on the town Tuesday night.
Jones was with fellow Raiders DB Tyvon Branch and a group of friends when he was presented with the challenge. After tying his shoes extra tight, Jones made the jump - and cleared it. Even more importantly, Jones did...
Oakland Raiders third-year special teams stud Taiwan Jones has just made a name for himself. The former 2011 fourth round selection out of Eastern Washington has been making a “difficult” transition—according to head coach Dennis Allen—from running back to cornerback as he heads into his third season in the league. “It’s been a difficult transition for him,” Allen...
Oakland Raiders cornerback Taiwan Jones was out for runningback Darren McFadden’s birthday when he was bet $200 he couldn’t jump over a BMW. Raiders safety Tyvon Branch recorded the jump and posted it to his Instagram page and as you can see, Jones was successful. Good thing for Jones that the car wasn’t moving and that he was able to do it without getting injured. I’m...
The Oakland Raiders are coming out of the pre-season focused on winning. Namely, Raiders’ running back-turned-cornerback Taiwan Jones won a bet…
How much would the average person accept as payment for jumping over a car? Well according to CBS Sports, if you asked Oakland Raiders CB Taiwan Jones, he’d probably tell you the going rate is $200. In an Instagram video caught by teammate Tyvon Branch, Jones is seen jumping over a BMW at Darren McFadden’s 26th birthday celebration.
This isn’t the first time Jones has impressed...
According to Black Sports Online, Raiders cornerback Taiwan Jones was offered $200 by safety Tyvon Branch at Darren McFadden’s 26th birthday party.
While very impressive, I don’t think it will help Jones earn a roster spot this season.

Oakland Raiders cornerback Taiwan Jones flies over a car in one massive jump. It's athletic, no doubt, but will it help on the field?
Because the leap over the car by cornerback Taiwan Jones was successful, it prevents this stunt from ranking high on most Raiders things ever, but it’s nice that he’s trying, though. The jump was recorded by Tyvon Branch, the person who bet Jones to try the jump. I could see the Jets doing the same thing, only the car is on fire and Mark Sanchez is locked in the front seat.[via]
Even though Darren McFadden has never played for a winning team since entering the NFL with the Raiders, he doesn’t want to play for anyone else except Oakland.
“I love being a Raider,” McFadden said, per CSNBayArea.com. “As long as they want to bring me back and have me here for as long as they want to have me – I love being a Raider, and I’m here.”
Darren McFadden’s contract expires at season’s end. After that the Raiders' star running back is free to sign with anyone he chooses. If McFadden produces to his capability that could mean big bucks on the open market.
McFadden isn’t interested in all that. He wants to stay put.
“I love being a Raider” McFadden said after Tuesday’s practice. “As long as they want...
Darren McFadden is entering a contract year, and the oft injured, but talented running back is just looking to put together a complete season at this point.
The question now is what can we as football enthusiast, and the Raiders as McFadden’s employer for at least the next 18 weeks, expect from a running back looking to cash in.
McFadden who shows flashes of greatness, followed...
The Oakland Raiders are hoping for big things from running
back Darren McFadden, who is entering a contract year, this season. As such,
there is some expectation that McFadden accumulates the best totals he can this
year in an effort to score big on the free agent market. While there’s a chance
McFadden could be playing elsewhere next season, he told CSN Bay Area that he loves...
