Bob McNair would like to see the Super Bowl return to Houston in 2017. However, the Houston Texans’ majority owner believes it’s a citywide effort that should and will have little involvement from his NFL franchise. Luckily for McNair, there are several members of the county who are motivated to bring the Super Bowl back to Houston. Edgar Colon, who is the chairman of Harris County Sports Convention Corp., has come forward to inform the public of the planned bid the county and Reliant Park will put forward.

Texans WR Dwight Jones quits team, football
Coming out of college, wide receiver Dwight Jones, though talented, had some scouts concerned over his character, with some labeling him "lazy" and others questioning his work ethic.
Well, the former UNC standout did nothing to disprove those negative notions.
On Tuesday, Jones, who laughably lauded himself as the "next Andre Johnson," informed team officials...
The Productivity of the Texans’ 2011 Pass Rush
Last year the Houston Texans had their best defensive season in team history. Much of that success was due to Wade Phillips’ new 3-4 scheme and their relentless pass rush off of the edge, and the Texans set a team record with 44 sacks. A closer look into the numbers explains which pass rushers had the greatest impact on the Texans success. The website Pro Football Focus (PFF) uses...
Houston Texans Undrafted Rookie Receiver Dwight Jones Quits Football
It didn’t take long for undrafted rookie wide receiver Dwight Jones to make an impression with the Houston Texans.
Jones’ draft stock dropped following a less-than-impressive performance in the Senior Bowl, but in an interview on SportsRadio 610, the big-bodied receiver boldly compared himself to the best player to ever wear a Texans uniform.

Arian Foster’s Arm > A Hippie’s Bumper Sticker
Last we checked in on Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, he was taking some Twitter time to grade vegetables, offering that peas are simply average, lacking spunk. You know, like the Kevin Walter of side dishes. But as some of you astute KSKers pointed out, we’re simply lucky to have Foster and his Twitter account in our lives.
Unlike the majority of athletes, Foster uses...

Houston Texans: J.J. Watt Wants To Be Top-Tier DE, Go To Super Bowl
The decision by the Houston Texans to take Wisconsin’s J.J. Watt with the 11th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft was a questionable call in the eyes of some, since other star players that addressed bigger needs were still on the board.
However, those who were uncertain about the prospects of Watt in his first season were smiling from ear to ear by the end of the year.
“Last...
Gary Kubiak Thinks Texans Rookie QB Case Keenum Has Future In NFL
Case Keenum ended his college career as the all-time leading passing in NCAA history, throwing for 19,217 yards and 155 touchdowns in his 57-game career at the University of Houston. Despite the production, Keenum's size (shade under 6-foot-1 and 208 pounds and 9-inch-1/8 hands, the second-smallest hands among quarterbacks invited to the Combine) and career spent in a spread...

Do The Houston Texans Have Championship Pedigree?
Lately, I’ve been following a lot of NFL analysts and I constantly hear many analysts say since the draft that the Houston Texans will be in the AFC Championship game and others that say the Texans will be in the Super Bowl. The question I ask is why? What do they see in the Texans that makes them believe that the Texans are a perennial Super Bowl contender after one successful...

The list has the names we all expect to see but the order might be up for debate. Entering the 10th full season of play, the rivalry between the Texans and their opponents are still putting chapters to their histories. The list will evolve in the coming...
