The big injury news coming from the Houston Texans this week has of course been the season-ending ACL tear of ILB Brian Cushing. By now, all Texans fans have come to the realization that their defensive captain will miss the remainder of the 2012 season, creating a huge hole to fill in the middle of the defense. The road to the Super Bowl certainly got tougher for the 5-0 Texans, but thankfully, aside from Cushing’s injury, the Texans are still relatively healthy heading into their week six matchup with the Green Bay Packers.

When the Texans take the field Sunday night, they’ll be without safety Quintin Demps (forearm/thumb), who hasn’t practiced in nearly two weeks after sustaining injuries against the Tennessee Titans. Aside from Demps (and Cushing of course), the Texans will be at full strength against the Packers. The team has fifteen players currently listed as probable, meaning they should play baring some unforeseen setback. These players include RB Arian Foster (knee), RB Ben Tate (toe), RB Justin Forsett (thigh), WR Andre Johnson (groin), WR Lestar Jean (knee), G Wade Smith (foot), G Antoine Caldwell (ankle/foot), DE Antonio Smith (ankle), NT Shaun Cody (back), LB Mister Alexander (achilles), OLB Jesse Nading (foot), CB Johnathan Joseph (knee), CB Alan Ball (ankle), S Shiloh Keo (neck), and K Shayne Graham (calf).

Across the ball, the Packers will be without start wide receiver Greg Jennings tomorrow night, but are otherwise healthy. The absence of Jennings, however, is significant simply because that’s one less of QB Aaron Rodgers’ weapons the Texans have to worry about covering in the pass game.
