Max Starks to be ready by mid July

Max Starks tweeted that his rehab is going well and hopes to be ready by July.  That is good news for Starks.  He can get into someone’s camp and make an impact on a team.  Could that team be the Steelers?  It is possible but it will depend on the draft. The Steelers head into the draft with Marcus Gilbert at Left Tackle and Willie Colon at right.  If the Steelers draft a...

Steelers WR Wallace fails to land offer sheet

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace's goal of being one of the highest paid at his position took a hit when he did not receive an offer sheet from any team by Friday's deadline. Wallace, a restricted free agent, has lobbied for a contract in the neighborhood of the eight-year, $120 million pact signed by Arizona Cardinals stud Larry Fitzgerald. The Steelers opted...

By Cian Fahey While it may have absolutely no bearing on this year's draft class, or reflect the Steelers' ability to evaluate and draft talent, it is always interesting to try to gauge the quality of this year's draft by comparing it to previous ones. The Pittsburgh Steelers are picking 24th in this year's draft, which can be considered unusually high compared...

Steelers’ gamble on Wallace likely pays off

It’s the last day teams can sign restricted free agents to contracts and it appears as though tendering wide receiver Mike Wallace at just a first-round level is going to pay off for Pittsburgh. I think the Steelers had even semi-resigned themselves to losing the wideout, who reportedly wants a new contract that pays him as a top five receiver. Now, those contract demands likely...
