The Indianapolis Colts have had some intriguing news this week. The main one being that running back Ahmad Bradshaw may need season-ending neck surgery and he will definitely be out at least a few weeks. This would be a huge blow considering how well Bradshaw had been running before he sustained the injury in the 49ers game. It actually already is a big loss as the Colts have an upcoming matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. The waiving of Joe Lefeged is surprising (Photo credit: Colts.com) Trent Richardson and Donald Brown are the only healthy running backs on the active roster. An injury to one would be huge. And both of them are going to have to step up their game against a very good Seahawks defense. Another tidbit of surprising news that came out this week is that safety Joe Lefeged was waived. The timing is questionable as he could have been cut this off-season when he was arrested but he wasn’t. And now LaRon Landry is nursing an injured ankle and Delano Howell was in a walking boot this week, so the Colts could have used a solid back up in Lefeged. Weird timing. Safety Larry Asante was picked up in place of Lefeged. Asante played well this pre-season but he’s not quite as talented as Lefeged. There must be something the Colts front office knows that we don’t. Along with Bradshaw and Landry it doesn’t look like defensive lineman Ricky Jean-Francois will be playing this weekend either. Yet another big blow especially with a big game coming up this Sunday. The injury bug seems to be hitting the Colts hard this season with injuries to Dwayne Allen, Vick Ballard and now Ahmad Bradshaw. It will be tough to make up for these losses but Andrew Luck and the Colts will have to do just that this weekend. Go Colts!
