Inside the Bills:
Dolphins Pro Bowl LT Jake Long was knocked out of Sunday’s game against the Eagles Sunday and Miami’s offensive line was a shambles in his absence.
Long left with a reported back injury and Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano was guarded in his comments about his best offensive lineman.
“From Jake Long’s standpoint you guys will get that on Wednesday,” said Sparano in his Monday press conference.
Miami gave up nine sacks Sunday in the loss to the Eagles, with Matt Moore sacked four times and knocked from the game. J.P. Losman was sacked five times. The Dolphins have given up more sacks than any other team in the league allowing 44 on the season.

DAVIE, FL Tony Sparano was fired Monday as head coach of the Miami Dolphins. The only shock was that it took so long.

It also allows us to avoid foot in mouth disease.
Those who have followed me for a while should know I’m not a knee jerk kind of guy. Jerk maybe….but not knee jerk.
I have to dissect...
MIAMI GARDENS — Today’s game will feature two teams that should look a lot better than their 4-8 records suggest. For the Dolphins, winners of four of their past five games, they will have their complete lineup on the field today with no players sitting out the game and right guard Vernon Carey coming back [...]
The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have fired head coach Tony Sparano. Sparano is the second head coach to be fired today (Kansas City’s Todd Haley) and the third so far this season (Jacksonville’s Jack Del Rio).
This move was expected and isn’t a surprise to anybody following the NFL this year fairly closely. Sparano’s Dolphins started the season 0-7 before inexplicably...
PFT: The Miami Dolphins ended the suspense Monday, firing coach Tony Sparano after a 4-9 start.
Even before the Miami Dolphins fired Tony Sparano on Monday, names of potential successors were being bandied about. Bill Cowher? Jeff Fisher? Jon Gruden?
One sack cost the Miami Dolphins their quarterback. Another resulted in a safety. With the last one, the team matched a franchise record for bad blocking.
Stephen Ross’ priority is to hire a star coach, and money will not be an impediment, an associate said.
In the city where the modern "Dream Team" failed to bring home an NBA championship, the Eagles kept their "Dream Team" season alive Sunday.
Michael Vick returned to the Eagles lineup in Miami as he led the Eagles to 24 first half points as the Birds held on for a 26-10 win over the Dolphins.
Vick looked rusty while completing just 15-of-30 passes for 208 yards...
