Maybe he's kidding, maybe he's not... Former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia, out of the league since 2011, says he's still in good enough shape to play in the NFL. Rich Eisen asked him if he could still play, and without hesitation, he replied "I’ll go to the Oakland Raiders right now and start for them."  Garcia has been in the news lately in a mentor role, mainly to JaMarcus Russell, who's comeback attempt had him recently working out for the Chicago Bears. Garcia has a good rep in the Bay Area as the man who took over from Steve Young with the 49ers and earned his way to three Pro Bowl selections. Eric He of Golden Gate Sports brings up an interesting tidbit: ' Ironically, Garcia did try to become a starter for the Raiders in 2009, but instead was cut before the season. The starter that year for the Silver and Black? JaMarcus Russell. ' Jeff Garcia to @richeisen on if he can still play "I'll go to the Oakland Raiders right now & start for them" #REPitunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the… — Chris Law (@ChrisLaw) June 8, 2013
