Found May 10, 2012 on Pro Football Zone:

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland made an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio (via The Miami Herald) and said that he believes rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill will be ready to play “pretty quickly.”

Part of Ireland’s belief is due to the fact that  “he (Tannehill)  has knowledge of the offense. There are two other experienced players (Matt Moore, David Garrard) who are great pro’s. We drafted him to let him compete for the position. We need to play better at that position, whether it’s a new player or Matt. That position really has to be more productive.”

I really can’t imagine Tannehill having much success in his rookie year with not that many starts at the collegiate level.  The NFL is a whole other ball game and I don’t feel like he got enough snaps from under center in college to come into the pros and make an impact right away.

WR Jeff Fuller is an interesting undrafted rookie for the Dolphins

By most accounts, the Miami Dolphins did very well for themselves in the 2012 NFL Draft.  The Dolphins picked up a number of players in rounds lower than they were expected to be taken.  The Dolphins took Jonathan Martin in the 2nd round, when many expected him to go in the 1st.  The Dolphins took [...]

Osi Umenyiora rumors swirl, but should the Dolphins be interested?

The Miami Dolphins have said they aren’t rebuilding….but their actions tell a different story.  The Dolphins are rebuilding, and thus far, it appears they are doing a decent job….but we’ll know more in September.  The Dolphins might say they aren’t rebuilding the defense that finished 6th in the NFL in points against in 2011.  Fair [...]

Brandon Marshall says Jerry Rice couldn’t even succeed if he played in Miami

Whether their ownership group likes it or not, the Dolphins currently have a nasty stigma attached to their organization. At the moment, it feels like nobody wants to play there. Miami was considered a front-runner to land Peyton Manning when he hit the market, and we saw how quickly that fell apart. Then it appeared they would sign Matt Flynn, but but Flynn ultimately chose Seattle...

So who do you hate ?

To say it is slow in Dolphin land would be putting it mildly, there simply is little to talk about.  I guess that is a good thing. I always felt it is better for a team to have a quiet off... Come here for the best Miami Dolphins blog on the web. We have all of the most up to date new and opinions on the Dolphins organization for its fans.

WR: Rice would've been bad in Miami

New Chicago Bear Brandon Marshall says even the greatest wide receiver of all-time would not have been effective in the Dolphins offense last season.

A Look at Dolphin's Difference Makers: Reggie Bush

This is the offseason and the draft has already passed.  Nothing grabs my interest on many NFL websites nor do the writers on many South Florida papers have much to report.  However, here at, there is something to discuss always.Last year Reggie Bush had a career year.  In fact, Reggie Bush became the Miami Dolphins go-to big play threat.  Reggie Bush dominated...

Reggie Bush wants Plaxico Burress in Miami

Earlier this afternoon in an interview with Rich Gannon and Adam Schein on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Plaxico Burress was asked about four teams that he thought he could fill a void in. The Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins. He said all four teams mentioned were good teams, and commented on Cam Newton’s work ethic saying it was great and he was a...

Brandon Marshall: Even Jerry Rice wouldn’t succeed in Miami

(AP Photo/Julio Cortez) Anyone close to you will tell you that the Miami Dolphins are possibly a quarterback away from contending in the playoffs. Now that he’s gone, Brandon Marshall figured that he would iterate that theory. “If you don’t have a quarterback, it doesn’t matter who you have out there. You can bring Jerry Rice back in his prime and he’s not going to be effective...

The younger brother of NFL players Vernon and Vontae Davis has been charged with murder in the death of a man visiting the nation's capital from Colorado. D.C. police say 19-year-old Michael Davis was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder while armed in the death of 66-year-old Gary Dederichs of Denver. Chelsea, AC Milan to meet in World Football Challenge match

Who said America doesn't love fútbol? The World Football Challenge just became that much bigger as England's Chelsea FC and Italy's AC Milan have been added to the event.  The two storied clubs will play in Miami's Sun Life Stadium on July 28th.  The match came about through a partnership between RSE Ventures, CAA Sports, and the MLS. "We're excited to...

No rush in Big East commish search

The interim commissioner of the Big East Conference says he expects the search for a new commissioner to take about three months, and says he won't be a candidate for the job. In a conference call with reporters Wednesday, former Miami Dolphins chief executive Joe Bailey also said he does not plan to be involved in the conference's negotiations for a new television deal...
