Jerod Mayo is the leader of a young New England Patriots defense, and he's also the model player that Bill Belichick prefers character-wise. Mayo is mild mannered off the gridiron, but tenacious on the field. Coming off their bye, the Patriots traded for Tampa Bay's 2008 first round pick, troubled CB Aqib Talib. Reclamation projects are nothing new for the Patriots, and some say this move is a sign of desperation. Whatever the case, Mayo will be one of the senior member in charge to help transition Talib to the Patriot way.
Will Talib be another Cory Dillon, or to a lesser degree Randy Moss, or will he fall into the Albert Haynesworth category?
