OFF THE MARK
The always boisterous Jets head coach is not going to wait until the season begins to start riding his underachieving quarterbacks.
The New York Jets were mildly active in free agency this year. We cautioned this would be a likely approach this off-season, with the team’s decision making geared more towards 2014 than 2013. Every contract the team handed out was to a player with question marks surrounding them, generally based around health or a limited role in the past. In most cases, the valuation of contracts...
Mark Sanchez threw three interceptions and Geno Smith talked about having to improve ''every single thing.''
This New York Jets' quarterback competition sure has a long way to go.
The two quarterbacks considered the front-runners for the starting job didn't exactly impress Wednesday during the Jets' first practice of organized team activities open to...

Here at Turn On The Jets, we decided to take a page out of Robert Mays book over at Grantland (a polite way of saying rip his article idea off) by counting down the 115 days until the New York Jets kick off, with a daily reason to get excited about their return. This signing was expected for a few weeks now, but today it was made official. Jets quarterback Geno Smith now has as an agent after signing with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports Agency.
Smith said that Jay Z did not play that big a role in his decision according to the New York Daily News.
“I think it’s just his agency,” Smith said on Wednesday. “When you talk about being in...
I know this is going to bring out the “Joe Namath must be drinking again” jokes, but I’m not going there this time. Although it would explain a lot as to why the Jets Hall of Fame quarterback seems to be so stuck on current QB Mark Sanchez.
Namath, as he’s wont to do, gave his opinion on the New York quarterback situation, going so far as to say that the Jets wasted a draft...
There’s something interesting news coming out of New York in regards to the Jets quarterback position, and it doesn’t bold well for Mark Sanchez.
The New York Daily News is reporting that Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg has confirmed that the Jets could end up naming their starting quarterback before June and definitely before the start of training camp.
Asked about RB Mike Goodson's arrest, Jets owner Woody Johnson went as stupid as you'd expect from Woody Johnson:
"We're trying to win games and do the right thing. Truth, justice and the American...

With training camp just around the corner, New York Jets first year gunslinger Geno Smith is taking care of the business side of his profession by hiring new agent representation this week.
I don’t know much about the independent conservative news website WND, but the fact that they sell a “Tim Tebow For President” bumper sticker leads me to believe that they’re big fans of his All-American golden boy charm and downhome “Aw schucks”-ness. While I was a bit distracted by their ad that asks in big letters, “Martial Law Close?”, I did read a very thoughtful...
METAIRIE, La. (AP) -- Rob Ryan figures his firing in Dallas will only help him relate to a Saints defense humbled by a historically bad season.
"I don't like getting fired," Ryan said Thursday during his first meeting with reporters since Sean Payton hired him in February to revamp New Orleans' last-ranked defense. "I know I got my feelings hurt and so did...
