Found October 07, 2013 on Kissing Suzy Kolber:
Last week, we were treated to a rare Monda night game that looked good on paper and it ended up being a disgusting blowout, so since we already know this match-up sucks, hopefully the complete opposite holds true.A week ago, Atlanta got the Patriots without their best defensive player for almost the entire game and still needed a furious comeback just to fall agonizingly short. Truth be told, they looked feckless for a team coming off a conference title appearance from the year before. The Falcons failed twice on fourth down in the red zone, which seems to be a rather fatal flaw for them of late. Atlanta will still be without Steven Jackson against the Jets and will have to find some answer for their ground game after managing only 58 yards rushing against a Wilfork-less Pats. If not, fortunately for them both Julio Jones and Roddy White are active, so at least the passing game will have all of its weapons. The Jets are trying to rebound from a debacle of their own in Tennessee. Harry Douglas, Drew Davis fantasy players to pick up after Julio Jones injury

While we are certainly hoping for the best for Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and his injured foot, it appears likely that the former Alabama star is going to miss the remainder of the 2013 season. Fellow wide receiver Roddy White has been dealing with a high ankle sprain all season and suffered a […]

Atlanta Falcons news: Who is to blame for Monday’s loss?

In case you missed this week’s edition of Monday Night Football, the Atlanta Falcons had an absolutely dismal game against the New York Jets, which concluded on a 43 yard field goal by Nick Folk that gave the Jets, who came into the matchup as ten point underdogs according to ESPN, a surprising 30-28 victory, dropping one of the favorites to reach Super Bowl XLVIII to 1-4 on the...

Andrews and other doctors advised Sanchez to undergo surgery after he underwent seven weeks of rehabilitation...

New York Jets Win – Celebrate But Refocus for the Steelers This Time

What a win. To swing fifteen rounds with the Falcons the way Rex and Geno’s Jets did last night has to give any diehard the hope that John Idzik’s train is moving in the right direction. Now for a sobering truth. This franchise has shocked the world many times before. It’s the game following the upset that often bites the New York Jets. There have too many instances in Jet history...

Who the Heck is Jeff Cumberland?

Monday night the New York Jets did something that few people thought they would do--they won. What may be even more surprising is who the hero of the night was--tight end Jeff Cumberland. If you don't know who that is don't worry. No one does, but after the performance he turned in against the Falcons a lot of folks will be interested in finding out. Gifdsports...

Roddy White, Julio Jones active for Falcons

The Falcons won't have much help up front against the Jets on Monday night but they will have plenty of receiving options as both Roddy White and Julio Jones are active for Atlanta. Joining them on the field will be cornerback Asante Samuel. The most critical missing piece is left tackle Sam Baker (and Steven Jackson though he was expected to be out all along). Along with Baker...

Jets Win! Jets Win! Jets--Wait. What?

This game was not one that too many folks had circled on their calendars as a much watch game. The Jets are still a circus and the Falcons should be able to pass for days on them. This game was not going to be entertaining. It was going to be boring. It was going to--well, suck. And I am sure glad I watched it. Gifdsports.com This game went nothing like it...

The Jets Derp Then Un-derp

The Jets began their first possession of Monday Night Football in Falcons territory following a blocked punt. On a third down just inside the Atlanta 30, Geno Smith found Jeff Cumberland, who caught the pass then proceeded to deflect the ball perilously up in the air. In most Jets circumstances, this results in an easy backbreaking interception, yet somehow not did the worst possible...

According to Jay Glazer, the Falcons are concerned that stud WR Julio Jones may be out for the season with a foot injury. The report was confirmed by D Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. No word on specifics of the injury itself, but this is a devastating blow to a Falcons team that is already off to a terrible 1-4 start. We’ll be awaiting more information as...

Jets-Falcons Live Blog, Second Half

So Atlanta is pretty horrible, huh? Nice to know now that we’ve seen them in primetime games in back-to-back weeks. The Falcons opened the game with the ball. Matt Ryan nearly threw an interception, but instead Atlanta was forced to punt. Even worse, their punt was forced backward by the Jets and New York took over in Atlanta territory. Geno Smith got them a few first downs but...

Falcons fear Julio Jones' season is over

The Atlanta Falcons lost wide receiver Roddy White to a hamstring injury during last night's disappointing contest against the New York Jets, but fellow wide out Julio Jones also exited the game with a foot injury. White received more attention considering his early-season struggles, but it looks like Jones' ailment may be more severe. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that...

Yards aside, Jets' defense comes up big

BY NICK ST. DENISThe New York Jets were going to give up a lot of yards to Matt Ryan and a lot of first downs to Tony Gonzalez. That much was certain. But when Gang Green needed a blocked punt, they got it. When they needed a goal line stop, they got it. And when they needed a turnover, they got it. And with a big helping hand from Geno Smith and the offense, the Jets beat the Atlanta...
