UPDATE Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports confirms that QB Brady Quinn will indeed be re-signed next week after the Jets season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Quinn’s stay in New York  is expected to last until Mark Sanchez is healthy enough to return. ———————- Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the New York Jets will release QB Brady Quinn today. There were rumors that the Jets could cut Quinn loose in the past free days, so this doesn’t come as a big shock. Quinn’s salary will become guaranteed if he remains on the roster at the start of the Jets season, therefore he could be re-signed on Monday, many veterans are expected to experience this. Quinn’s release figures to be temporary, so he will more than likely be part of the Jets roster this season. Quinn’s outlook this season will be that of third-string quarterback behind Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez   The post Jets Release QB Brady Quinn appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
