PLAYERS: Jim Irsay
TEAMS: Indianapolis Colts
I understood very clearly what Irsay was saying when he made the comments he rather have rings that Star Wars stats. It was more of a shot toward the GM than Manning, but the media ran with it, because they needed a storyline for the Broncos vs. Colts matchup. Irsay maybe a little out there at times, but he knows what is going on. My comments meant if we gave Peyton better SP Teams n Def,we would have won more than 1 Sup/Bowl,instead of asking Peyton 2do too much — Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) October 16, 2013 It's hard 2C how any individual could understand them any other way,but CONTRO sells so I understand the games "Let's get something started" — Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) October 16, 2013

John Fox: Irsay comments are a 'cheap shot' at Peyton Manning

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox responded to Jim Irsay seemingly slighting Peyton Manning by calling the comments of the Indianapolis Colts owner a “cheap shot.” The Broncos are visiting the Colts on Sunday for what will be Manning’s first game back at Lucas Oil Stadium since the team cut him following multiple neck surgeries […]

Jim Irsay says the Colts let Peyton Manning go so they could win more Super Bowls

Colts owner Jim Irsay told USA TODAY Sports that part of the reason they decided to release Peyton Manning back in 2012 was because they wanted to win multiple Super Bowls. “We’ve changed our model a little bit, because we wanted more than one of these,” Irsay says, flicking up his right hand to show his Super Bowl XLI championship ring. “(Tom) Brady never had consistent...

Broncos Coach John Fox Says Jim Irsay’s Comments on Peyton Manning Were “A Bit of a Cheap Shot”

Colts owner Jim Irsay raised a few eyebrows on Tuesday with some of his comments about his former quarterback Peyton Manning’s career in Indianapolis. Speaking to USA Today’s Jarrett Bell, Irsay talked about Manning’s playoff success with the Colts, and compared it to other teams that were able to win multiple championships since 2000. “(Tom) Brady never had consistent numbers...

Tommie Harris Says Jim Irsay’s Comments About Peyton Manning Reminiscent of Boyfriend Who Regrets Break-Up

Jim Irsay and Peyton Manning‘s relationship has hit a bit of a rough patch as of late, but the harsh words and criticism are just masking what the Colts owner really feels — Manning’s the one that got away. At least according to one former Indianapolis player, that is. Tommie Harris was only a part of the team during training camp in 2011, but the defensive tackle believes...

Colts’ owner’s comments are below the belt

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay stirred up immense controversy with his abrasive comments yesterday in which he dissed longtime former franchise quarterback and current Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning. Irsay says Peyton pushed for Luck

Things could have ended very badly, with a very bitter taste, for both Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. Colts owner Jim Irsay told Jarrett Bell of USA Today this week that, as...

With Manning now healthy and leading the unbeaten Denver Broncos and a record-setting offense into Indianapolis on Sunday night Dungy said Irsay would have kept the quarterback...

Manning advised Irsay to draft Luck

Tweet Many have questioned whether or not the Indianapolis Colts should have held on to Peyton Manning, despite the immediate success Indianapolis has had since drafting Andrew Luck first overall in 2012.
