New York Giants owner John Mara told the media tonight that wide receiver Victor Cruz will get a new contract at some point.
“It will get done at some point,” Mara said tonight, before tonight’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC Annual Sidewalks of New York Gala, per the Newark Star Ledger. “Just be patient.”
It sounds like Mara is optimistic something will get done, which can only be a good thing.

Jeremy Shockey was out of football last year, and people who are only 32 years old and not working can get pretty bored. That could help explain one of the former New York Giants tight end’s recent tweets, or it could be that he’s just an incredibly weird dude.

The biggest reason the New York Giants missed the playoffs last season was defense.
The unit that helped Tom Coughlin's crew win its second Super Bowl in five years in February 2012 was among the NFL's worst last season
