Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly announced yesterday that Michael Vick will be the team’s starting quarterback. Today Kelly announced that both Vick and Nick Foles will definately be on the Eagles opening day roster.
Kelly told the media, “You don’t have to look any farther than last night’s game with the Redskins, where Robert Griffin is on the sideline and Kirk Cousins goes down in the second quarter. In this league, you better have a couple of quarterbacks ready to go. I mentioned that again to Nick today. I think Nick is going to approach it that he’s the starter, because that’s got to be his mentality going into this and prepare like he’s a starter.”
Kelly had previously said that he would not name a starting quarterback until after the preseason games were over. He made a wise decision making his decision now though as the offense can prepare for the season knowing who their starting quarterback will be. Vick now has nearly 3 weeks to prepare for the season knowing that he...

I will never forget the day of August 20th, 2007, maybe it is because I am a Federal Correctional Officer, but it was also my 3 year anniversary with the Department of Justice. That day Michael Vick was all over the news for a scandal where Vick accepted a plea bargain to go to a […]

Eagles coach Chip Kelly named Michael Vick as his starting
On Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Michael Vick has officially been named the Philadelphia Eagles' starter at quarterback.
You may not like the early decision by Eagles head coach Chip Kelly to declare veteran Mike Vick as the QB#1 for the Eagles in 2013. But I am digging it. Basically, the Chippah just took control of this team and this locker room. He essentially has said, "No more bull-crap... no more politically-correct 'wait until the final PS game' to evaluate all candidates.....

The Philadelphia Eagles named Michael Vick the starting quarterback over Nick Foles. Was this even in question, because I don't know anybody that thought Foles would win the job.
The word out of Washington is that quarterback Robert Griffin III continues to look good in practice, strengthening the fact that he will be ready for Week 1 when the Redskins host Philadelphia on Monday...
