FOXBORO, Mass. — It’s typically nearly impossible for a rookie wide receiver to adjust to the Patriots’ complex offense. But Kenbrell Thompkins has made it look easy, relatively speaking. The undrafted rookie out of Cincinnati has 23 catches for 334 yards and four touchdowns. Thompkins has started seven of the eight games he’s played. He leads the team in touchdowns and yards per reception. Perhaps his most memorable play was a game-winning touchdown catch in Week 6 against the Saints. Tom Brady lofted a pass over the Saints’ defense that Thompkins was able to haul in with perfect field awareness. We’re halfway through the season, so now is the perfect time to catch up with this year’s rookie crop to see how they’re adjusting to the NFL. Check out what Thompkins had to say below. Do you look to one player on the team as the “big brother” who you can ask all your questions to? Kenbrell Thompkins: Big brother? My wideouts. We spend a lot of time with each other each and every day. We’re

Patriots offense scored the most of any team this season, with a bunch of back-ups

Tom Brady is a legend folks, he shook off the inconsistency of his first eight games, threw for season-highs of 432 yards and four touchdowns and led New England to a 55-31 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. “You throw it, they catch it, they run with it,” he said. “It makes a good day […]

Tom Brady admits to egging and TPing houses on Halloween - when he was younger

During a team press conference Wednesday, New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady admitted to egging and toilet papering houses on Halloween in his younger years. When asked if he had ever egged a house, Brady confessed "Yes. We egged, we TP'd houses." Of course, that was many years ago, before the Internet. We're pretty sure there is no...

Tom Brady is a little too excited for this high-five with Legarrette Blount

On Sunday, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had one of the best games of his career.  After throwing an 81-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Dobson, Brady was all smiles and made this hilarious face when he gave Legarrette Blount a high-five.  I’m guessing he was extra excited that he wasn’t ignored this time by his teammate when he went up for a high-five.  The Patriots...

Hritz: Steelers Versus Patriots Preview And Prediction – Week 9

By Jeremy Hritz While there was uncertainty at the beginning of the 2013 season as to what type of team the Pittsburgh Steelers would field, predicting a 2-5 record after seven games seemed to be as unlikely as the Steelers going 19-0 and winning their seventh Super Bowl title. What seemed improbable during the offseason is now a bitter realty as the Steelers travel to Foxborough...

Troy Polamalu faked out on Tom Brady touchdown pass

Troy Polamalu is one of the best safeties in the NFL and makes more game-changing plays than most defensive backs. He’s exciting, instinctive, and a hard hitter. Remember this play he made against Jake Locker earlier in the season? That was beautiful. But, as we’ve shown in the past, he can get lost in pass […]

Rob Gronkowski’s Break-Out Opened Up Field for Patriots’ Receivers, Sparked Dominant Offensive Performance

FOXBORO, Mass. – Tom Brady was wise to go to Rob Gronkowski early and often. And that’s not just for the obvious reason: that Gronkowski finally appears to be fully healthy. In proving that the tight end was a force to be reckoned with, that opened up the rest of the field for the Patriots’ other receivers. Gronk’s dominant start — he had seven receptions for 119 yards...

Patriots picking up points when needing it most

New England was treated to a great game today! Finally the offense explodes, something Patriots fans have waited weeks and months for to happen. But the Patriots are scoring where they need it most, in the second half of games. Take into account last week against Miami and again tonight against Pittsburgh. New England was behind 17-3 going into the locker room before erupting for...

Patriots vs. Steelers Analysis

Here is the initial analysis of the Patriots victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 55 to 31. This was a vintage Patriots win, for better and worse. We'll start with the worse. The Patriots defense was inconsistent in the second half. When the Patriots couldn't get pressure without a blitz, the secondary suffered, as Ben and his receivers basically...

Patriots Offense Explodes in 55-31 Win over Steelers

After going through some very-well documented struggles through the first half of the season, Tom Brady and the offense dropped 55 points on the hated Pittsburgh Steelers for a big win. The numbers were staggering across the board. The Patriots rolled up 610 yards on the toothless Steeler defense, with Tom Brady going 23-33 for 432 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. Rob Gronkowski...

Rob Gronkoski Hits a Career Mark With First Touchdown of the Season

It has been an interesting season for the New England Patriots and tight end Rob Gronkowski. There was a ton of speculation in the media as to why he wasn't playing and what the problem was (if there was one). Of course the speculation was all pretty inflammatory but hey--if you are making crap up there is no sense in making it dull crap. But now the man is back and in...

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots Game Preview and Prediction

Ben Roethlisberger and the 2-5 Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Gillette Stadium to take on Tom Brady and the 6-2 New England Patriots at 4:25 p.m. ET...

David Ortiz Raps “Started From The Bottom” At World Series Parade (Video)

Move over Tom Brady, David Ortiz is the king of Boston for the time being. It’s quite fitting that “Started From The Bottom” was the song of choice, since the Red Sox were in dead last place just a season ago and now they’re on top. You got to be happy for the city of Boston after what they’ve been through.

2013 Fantasy Football Week 9: Champs and Chumps

Quarterback Champs:Nick Foles- 22/28, 406 yards, 7 TDs; 3 Rush, 14 yards- 45.6 fantasy pointsWhat on Earth got into Nick Foles? WOW. Dude had 7 TDs in three quarters before being pulled due to a lopsided score…otherwise he could have had 8 or 9… He’s worth stashing because there’s a good chance he stays the starter even when Vick is 100 percent. Tom Brady- 23/33, 432 yards...
