Since returning to the NFL in 1999, the Cleveland Browns have been nothing short of a disaster. The team has gone through 24 different starting quarterbacks, eight head coaches and only has one playoff appearance.
However, there is one Ohio native who feels he can fix the Browns organization. That man: Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James.
Speaking to Jenny Vrentas of MMQB, James laid out his plan to return the Browns to glory.
"It starts with the culture, and how guys are believing, and being professional every single day," James told Ventras. "To be able to come here and change the culture — to know what we want is to be great as we can be every single day. Does that result in wins every day? Absolutely not. But you work at it, and that’s everyone from top to bottom."
Perhaps Jimmy Haslam and the Browns should look to bring in LeBron as a consultant, because his words are extremely poignant.
If nothing else, the Browns appear to be in need of drastic change to the organization once again. The team is 2-8 on the season.
Plus, you never know. If the Browns turn things around, maybe James will pull a Michael Jordan and try his hand at a different sport someday. He has, after all, hinted at his desire to play in the NFL before his playing career is over.
