FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots won a wet and wild one against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. It wasn’t pretty, but New England clinched a first-round playoff bye with the victory. LeGarrette Blount was the star of the game with 334 total yards. It wasn’t Tom Brady‘s strongest game, but he got the job done, throwing for 122 yards with a touchdown and interception. Check out this week’s five stars of the game below. LeGarrette Blount: Blount has been a force lately and he finally had his breakout game as a starter. The running back had 24 carries for 189 yards and two touchdown with two kick returns for 145 yards. He had 15 carries for 118 yards in the first half. Blount has been running much better since Stevan Ridley got benched. On Sunday, he was running over, through and around defenders. Julian Edelman: Quarterback Tom Brady was having trouble finding any receiver other than Edelman on Sunday. Edelman had nine receptions for 65 yards. He went over 100 catches and 1,000 yards on the game. Edelman has been Brady’s most-consistent target all year and the final game of the season was no different. Edelman didn’t have any spectacular plays, but he was was consistently getting open enough against Buffalo. Sealver Siliga: The Bills were having success running the ball to the edges, but they couldn’t find much room in the middle of the defense. Siliga was helping clog up those rushing lanes at nose tackle. He finished with nine tackles and added some production in the pass rush with a sack. It wasn’t the best showing for the Patriots’ run defense after two straight productive games, but everyone has had a tough time against the Bills’s rushing attack. Rob Ninkovich: The Patriots’ defensive end had another productive game rushing the passer. His sack gave him eight on the season, tying last year’s mark. Stephen Gostkowski: The Patriots kicker was a perfect four for four on field goals. He set the franchise record for points in a season with 157. He passed Gino Cappelletti.
