He began with a statement. And a sly smile. When LeSean McCoy meets with the media each week at the NovaCare Complex he usually waits for someone to begin the proceedings by asking a question. Wednesday was different. When he stepped to the podium McCoy started talking. “I just want to say I think Doug Martin is a heck of a running back” McCoy said with a mischievous smirk. The assembly laughed. “So he doesn’t suck?” someone asked. “Nah” McCoy responded. “He’s one of the better running backs for sure.” The exchange was prompted by McCoy’s tweet on Sunday (see story from The700Level). Shortly after the Giants game -- while the Cowboys and Broncos played in Dallas -- McCoy responded to something ESPN talking head Skip Bayless wrote about Denver running back Knowshon Moreno.

LeSean McCoy: Knowshon Moreno still sucks

Philadelphia Eagles running back made headlines when he took to Twitter last week to declare that Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno “sucks.” In response to ESPN’s Skip Bayless’ tweet on Oct. 6th “Peyton is doing what Peyton always does. But Knowshon is KILLING the Cowboys,” McCoy’s retweet simply said “Knowshon sucks.” Usually after a insulting or controversial...

Five ways the Denver Broncos don't win the Super Bowl

The Denver Broncos have won an entire regular season in a row. Their streak of 16 regular season wins is remarkable. Going back to last year’s regular season, the Broncos are on a dominant winning streak which won’t probably end until late in this season when there is nothing left to play for. The team’s extended preseason will probably start at game 13 or 14, unless the Kansas...

The Colts will honor Peyton Manning next week in Indy

The USA Today is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts will pay tribute to Peyton Manning when he returns to Indianapolis next week. They have not stated what they were going to do, but it will be pre-game. Peyton has been amazing so far with the Broncos, but was a legend in Indy. The Colts are […]

Is Peyton Manning making your kids fat? A study says yes

Fantasy Football: Moreno knows

He was supposed to lose his job by now but Knowshon Moreno not only has the starting running back position locked but is turning into a top tier fantasy back. Moreno the 12th overall pick in the 2009 draft out of Georgia only average 3.8 yards last season. He was running behind Willis Mcgahee who was released this year and signed by the Cleveland Browns. The Broncos were not convinced...

John Fox says his team toughed one out: 'any time you go on the road in this league, you're happy you come out with a win'

Denver Broncos coach John Fox says he was happy his team got tested by the Dallas Cowboys and that the team showed 'grit' in coming back from a 14 point deficit.

Mark Brunell thinks the Jaguars can cover the 28 point spread against the Broncos

Mark Brunell cannot stand that people continually rip up the Jaguars organization.  Mark Brunell is probably the best quarterback ever to play in Jacksonville, and this week he had to let the world know, that he still had faith. When he was asked about the 28 point spread for this weeks game against Peyton Manning […]

Champ Bailey full participant in Wednesday’s practice

Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey was a full participant in practice Wednesday for the first time since injuring his foot in a preseason game Aug. 17 at Seattle. “With Champ, obviously, we’ve been smart, the medical people have done a fantastic job,” Broncos coach John Fox said via ESPN. “He had a very, very good workout [Wednesday].”

Xs and Os: The Denver Pick Plays

For this week's Xs and Os breakdown, I realize I am risking the possibility of too much Peyton Manning this week. But, then, I countered that possibility with the idea that he is the industry leader in a very competitive business and that we may never see him again during his career vs Dallas (which I am sure they are thankful for), so I decided to cover one more impressive thing...

Kiffin report: Why you don't blitz Peyton Manning

Just as you can't play the Rams every week, the NFL won't make you play the Broncos every week, either. And we should all celebrate that because the Cowboys' defense had the opposite experience of the one they had 2 weeks ago when the Rams visited the stadium. They were flying high in that game with sacks and pressures and the ability to batter and bruise the Rams offense...

Broncos CB Bailey practices fully

Champ Bailey was a full participant at practice Wednesday for the first time since he injured his left foot in a preseason game at Seattle on Aug. 17. Bailey hopes to make his 2013 debut Sunday when the Broncos (5-0) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5), something team owner Pat Bowlen implored of him after Denver's 51-48 escape at Dallas. Three defensive starters who got hurt...

Terrelle Pryor does not want to end up like Tim Tebow

At one point in his career, Tim Tebow was a quarterback that young players aspired to be like. His throwing mechanics and playing style were unorthodox, but Tebow won two national championships in college and led the Denver Broncos on an improbable playoff run in his first full season as an NFL starting quarterback. Now, […]
