Found September 29, 2012 on Cleveland Sports 360:
I have heard all kinds of chatter from people who think Brandon Weeden is the great white hope of the Cleveland Browns and he is going to take them to the promise land. The truth of the matter is, Brandon Weeden is 0-4 as the Browns starting quarterback. Everyone is so excited because the Browns played a tough game in Baltimore last night. Listen people the Browns lost the game and Brandon Weeden didn’t put any points on the board none, he threw no touchdown passes at all and when he had a chance to make a great throw he threw the ball out of the end-zone. Weeden was brought to Cleveland because of  his great pin point accuracy and his strong-arm. Tell me where is that at? Sure there are some dropped passes, there are also some caught passes too. The one deep pass Brandon Weeden completed to Greg Little for a 39 yard gain was thrown high, Little did a great job to hand on and haul that ball in. Sure Little dropped some other balls, he also caught 4 passes in the game and none of the...

Brandon Weeden Accepting Club Membership This week after the Cleveland Browns lost their 4th game of the 2012 season to become the first team in the 2012 NFL to lose their first four, Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden joined a not so elite club of former Cleveland Browns quarterbacks. Now the Browns could be joined at 0-4 today if the Saints lose to the Packers. Then the team...

Can Brandon Weeden beat the Ravens tonight?

Getty Images Brandon Weeden has been getting better game in and game out. After a very lousy 5 percent quarterback rating in week 1, Weeden is becoming a better QB.  After last week’s performance against Buffalo where he had the Browns in the game until the very end of the fourth quarter, Weeden seems to be getting a better understanding.  I expect Weeden to put up big numbers...

“We battled, we came up short and we fought our [tails] off.” — Brandon Weeden “He battled.” — Pat Shurmur on Weeden “Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden and his young, inexperienced receivers grew up a lot in Baltimore Thursday night, making the Ravens sweat it out until the last play of the game when they had a chance to tie it.” — Mary Kay Cabot “Nobody gets...

Shurmur On Browns Q.B. Weeden,When You Really Make Progress Is When You Lead Your Team To Victory.

The Cleveland Browns head coach says he sees some progress in rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden, but he said, When You Really Make Progress Is When You Lead Your Team To Victory. It is obvious Weeden has progressed to the point of leading his team to victory yet. The Browns are the only team in the NFL  that is off to an 0-4 start. Drop it like it's hot: Greg Little can't catch Weeden's balls

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Greg Little (second in drops last season) continued his catching problems last night against the Baltimore Ravens, dropping a total of five catches, including a great Brandon Weeden would-be-touchdown pass that he had right in his hands. “My job is just to beat the guy and get through the middle of the field,” Little said. “[Weeden] moved...

Cleveland Browns plagued by offensive line problems

Welcome to the NFL, Trent Richardson. Welcome to the NFL, Brandon Weeden. This ain't Alabama. And this ain't Oklahoma State. The two former college all-stars were drafted onto possibly the worst team to end up on. Richardson came from Alabama, where he lined up behind lines full of four and five star recruits. Now they're lining up behind guys that are fairly new to the...

Ravens beat Browns 23-16 - but refs steal the show

A game that featured nearly 800 yards in offense, an interception return for a touchdown, helmet-loosening hits and a thrilling finish may best be remembered for what it didn't have: Controversy over the officiating. The regular officials returned to the field Thursday night, and they nearly had to work overtime on their first day back. Rookie Brandon Weeden misfired on two...

The Cleveland Browns Will Play With Regular NFL Referees, Will It Help Shurmur’s Browns? Some Say No!!!

Thursday Night Football: 5 Things to Watch for in Ravens vs Browns Tonight

With the NFL reaching an agreement with the officials to return to refereeing the league, it has kind of gotten lost in the shuffle that there is an actual game tonight. But there...
