Like a lying weasel, New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan claims Tim Tebow will battle the immortal Mark Sanchez this offseason to become the team’s starting quarterback. The 25-year-old Tebow, who has thrown 17 touchdowns, against nine interceptions, for 2,422 yards in 14 starts, was acquired by Gang Green from the Denver Broncos for a fourth and sixth-round selection in last April’s draft. Inexplicably enabling Sanchez’s debacles, Jets coaches firmly refused to give the 6-foot-3, 235 pound Tebow an opportunity to perform as a field general. “He’s on the roster, and he’ll get a chance to compete,” said Ryan, … Continue reading →

  • The picture caption seems to contradict the article and we wonder if a word might be missing in the caption. Otherwise, we are confused if he is saying Tebow will or will not start.
  • Watching the video linked to this article of Tim Tebow's 2011 season Bronco highlights, it boggles the mind that Tim Tebow did not get at least ONE game last season with The Jets to prove 2011 may not have been a fluke. I've heard all the naysayers and so-called experts poo-poo all things Tebow until my head wants to explode. The cold hard reality is that EVERY time that Tim Tebow has started for a team -- whether it be in high school, college, or in the NFL -- that team has had, at the very least, a WINNING season. In fact, more often than not it has lead to a playoff berth or some sort of championship. No one is going to argue that Tim can't make some improvements in mechanics and accuracy, but for the love of GOD why do these naysayers insist on ALWAYS looking at the Tebow glass as half empty? As a fan of football, it's painful to see this kid get kicked to the curb. He deserves a chance. If Tebow starts losing more games than he wins (something, it should be noted, that Tim Tebow has NEVER done his ENTIRE Football career) then I could understand all the negativity, but that hasn't happened yet. The Jets are utter fools if they let this kid go without seriously giving him a chance at starter. I also think that, if they let Tim Tebow go, it will be a decision that will come back to haunt them one day because I refuse to believe that not a single team owner, GM, or coach out there in the NFL can watch Tim's actual games, and his wins, and not think he is worth a risk
  • Tim Tebow has earned a chance. Not some pie in the sky but a real chance. One thing you cant measure is a players heart and he's got plenty.
