This week, you’ve probably heard a thing or two, or twelve million about ESPN and suspending Hank Williams Jr. (and presumably all his rowdy friends) for his political comments that were just too rowdy in a sociopolitical manner for their tastes.
Don’t get me wrong I thought he sounded like someone in “Deliverance” with his 1870s era hillbilly weltanschaung. But of course, he’s going to make southern-fried, redneck ignoramous commentary on politics, he’s a guy that wrote a song about what if the South had won the civil war? What did you expect when you hired him? It’s Fox News! It’s not actual journalism. Williams made a couple decent points about how about things are economically for most people in America. But that understandably was lost in the shuffle of his idiocy on everything else.
