Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch had a resurgence last year in Seattle, rushing for over 1,200 yards and a dozen touchdowns. This led to a 4-year contract extension worth $31 million, and apparently the opportunity to star in a movie being filmed in Seattle. No word on what part Lynch will play in the film titled Matt’s Chance, about a 20-something cowboy and the downward spiral his life takes following a betrayal by his girlfriend, but when you hear the list of quality talent the 25-year-old will be working alongside, you just know the film will be a critical and commercial success.

Lynch’s costars on the flick include the 6 Million Dollar Man himself, Lee Majors, Margot Kidder, Edward Furlong of Terminator 2 fame, and the ambassador of loony, Gary Busey. What, was Liza Minelli busy or something?

All I know is…I smell Oscars!

From NWCN.com..

Lynch signed on to play a role in a movie being filmed in Seattle. It’s called “Matt’s Chance”. It’s about a mid-20-something cowboy who’s betrayed by his girlfriend. It sends him into a downward sprial. The movie tackles all the things Matt is going through, from the mafia to corrupt bankers to even God himself.

Lynch’s co-stars include the 6 Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors. Plus, Edward Furlong from Terminator 2, Point Break’s Gary Busey, and Margot Kidder of Superman fame also co-star in the movie.

Does this have the potential to be the worst movie ever? With that group of actors you’d think so, but so long as 2011′s Jack and Jill is exists, the answer is no. Lee Majors wooden acting bookended by the sheer craziness of Kidder and Busey is infinitely more appealing than Adam Sandler in drag.

Wonder if they’ll pay Lynch’s salary in Skittles? Considering that based on the film’s budget the best casting they could come up with was these B-listers, paying a football playing actor in candy doesn’t seem all that far-fetched.
