While Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak left Matt Schaub as his quarterback he did admit it was a tough choice.
With backup T.J. Yates being a relative unknown, the Texans are opting to go with Schaub as the Week 6 starter. Coming off three consecutive losses the Texans are hoping to get Schaub pointed in the right direction this week.
Should he struggle against a Rams team poised to give up a bunch of yards and points, there should be little hesitation to turn to Yates.
Thus far this season Schaub has completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 1.366 yards and has eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. Schaub has had an interception returned for a touchdown in each of the Texans last four games.

It’s truly sad that fans would cheer when a player suffers an injury. What’s really bad is that Schaub’s own fans were happy that he injured himself.

Who could have seen this one coming? Certainly not the Houston Texans. They were pummeled 38-13 by the Rams on Sunday at Reliant Stadium — and none of it could be blamed on beleaguered quarterback Matt Schaub.
It was the highest point total for the Rams since 2006 Scott Linehan's first year as Rams head coach.

It’s been a bad day for the Houston Texans. Matt Schaub, coming off a really rough week, found himself so ineffectual he was relegated to just clinging on to defenders as T.J. The words are becoming just words. Actions are the only thing that will solve the Houston Texans issues at the moment, but there has been little production for a struggling team. This game resulted in a 38-13 loss to the St.Louis Rams and pushed the Texans current losing streak to four games.
