By now the game has been broken down every which way. The stats have been analyzed, and the replays have been watched. What hasn’t settled down though, is the debate about what the win over the Gators means for the Hurricanes. The real answer is that there is no way to know right now. We can only judge wins and losses in the present. Sure Florida may go on to lose four games and suddenly Miami’s win on Saturday looks less sexy. Maybe Miami will go on to be undefeated and we’ll all look back and say, it all started with that win over the Gators.  In honesty, I don’t think any of those things will happen, but one never knows. Here’s my take: When you are Al Golden and the Miami Hurricanes and you’ve been through the depths of hell over the last few years, you take even an ugly win, in an ugly game, over and ugly opponent to the bank.  As I walked from the media elevator through the depths of Sun Life Stadium after the game on Saturday, I walked past the 150-plus recruits that were at ...

Hurricanes play hard, but practice harder

Going helmet-to-helmet with instate rival Florida was not the toughest task overcome by the Miami Hurricanes so far in this young season, at least according to one player.
