Found June 10, 2014 on Next Impulse Sports:
Although it wasn’t planned this way, an advertisement opposing the Washington Redskins’ team name (on account of the fact that the name is really, really racist) was actually written by two fans of the NFL team which calls Washington D.C. home. Peter Cretella and his wife Brittany are a singer/songwriter couple who go by the band name Doppio. Both also happen to be ardent fans of Washington’s football team and they were blown away by the fact that one of their songs is being used in the anti-racist-team-name advertisement which will broadcast in eight major markets during the NBA Finals. The ad had previously been produced by the National Congress of American Indians in preparation for the Super Bowl but a shortened version will appear in the upcoming Finals tonight. And while Peter Cretella didn’t even know that his song was going to be used for the ad (he found out because someone sent him a link of the video), he is all for changing the name of the team he roots for: “Personally...

This story contributed by Scott Hirsch. Many people were on the fence about whether Santana Moss would be cut or not. Recent ‘rave’ comments by coach Gruden about the veteran have made many believe that Moss will make the roster. Washington Redskins | Change the Owner

Can We Focus On The Positive? Well Done, Dan! The fan base in Washington has long suffered through many unsuccessful seasons, endured ticket price hikes, and continues to deal with a less than desirable game day experience.  The frustration with ownership grows stronger with each season. Anti-Redskins Ad To Air During NBA Finals

An anti-Washington Redskins ad is going to run during Game 3 of the NBA Finals and I’m sure Dan Snyder won’t be too happy about it. I think it’s safe to say that the argument that “Indians don’t care about the Redskins nickname” is dead in the water. Champ Bailey is probably one of the top-10 Washington Redskins players of all-time. He only played five seasons in Washington, but earned Pro Bowl nods his final four seasons before being traded to the Denver Broncos for Clinton Portis.  So when Bailey, now a member of the New Orleans Saints, speaks out on the Redskins’ name controversy, we might want to listen. After all, he...

Champ Bailey Compares Word “Redskins” To N*gger

The controversy over the term ‘Redskin’ seems to grow more and more as the days go on. Now NFL Vet Champ Bailey has spoken out about the offensive term.
