The No. 2 in Arizona was previously held by Marquise Brown, who just yesterday announced he was signing with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Wilson signed with the Cardinals earlier this week on a three-year, $12.75 million deal. He played both middle linebacker and edge rusher for the New England Patriots before landing in the desert.
More from Arizona's official release on Wilson:
"Wilson (6-1, 246) played the past two seasons with New England after spending his first three years in the league with Cleveland where he was a fifth-round selection (155th overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft from Alabama. He appeared in all 34 games (four starts) the last two seasons with the Patriots, including in 2023 when he had a career-high 3.5 sacks to go along with four quarterback hits, four tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and three passes defensed. Prior to being traded to New England in 2022, Wilson played 43 games (28 starts) with Cleveland.
"The 26-year old Wilson has appeared in 77 games (32 starts) in career and has 212 tackles (134 solo), 6.0 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 13 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, one interception and eight quarterback hits on defense to go along with 24 tackles on special teams."
