Justin Pugh’s rookie season for the New York Giants has officially gotten off to a rocky start, as the team announced on Friday that he suffered a concussion during Thursday’s practice and was held out of Friday’s practice as a result, as he was suffering from headaches. The 2013 first-round pick for the Giants will be out indefinitely, as stated by Giants head coach Tom Coughlin when he said Pugh took a shot to the head and won’t return to the field until he passes the league’s concussion protocol tests. In the meantime, veteran David Diehl will be getting the bulk of the first-team snaps at right tackle, which he did most of during the first week of training camp. Pugh did get a chance to line up with the first team offense at right tackle and was expected to challenge Diehl for the starting spot before Week 1 of the regular season.
