TEAMS: New York Jets
1.09 New York Jets Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama, (6-0, 201) The New Yorks Jets traded away Darrelle Revis prior to the draft, leaving the Jets with an obvious need at corner back. Pressure will be very high on Milliner to fill Revis’s shoes, but he could very well be the guy that can do it. Milliner is a guy that has the ability to stick with any receiver in this league man-to-man. He has very quick feet, coupled with solid athleticism and the habit of being physical off the line. Despite Milliner’s physical tendency on the line, his tackling technique is poor, commonly choosing to lunge, rather than stay on his feet and wrap up. He will be a liability in the second level against the more physical running backs and wide receivers. Round One Focus Should be on Offense

Should the Jets go offense or defense in round one? Before the Revis trade this was a simpler question, they only had one pick therefore they could only go with offense or defense, but now they have two of the first 13 picks and could focus on one side or the other or take one of both.To me the answer to this question is simple, offense, defense, it doesn't matter just take the...

13th Selection Overview (Part 2)

It's funny writing about the NFL Draft. There's two sides to the equation and you can't really take both and talk about all the possibilities without pumping out an essay that people lose interest in half way through. It's you write about what the Jets should do, or what the Jets will probably do.Part 1 of this article (discussing the Jets ninth overall selection...

Report: Jets Considering Releasing Mark Sanchez After Drafting Geno Smith

The economics of such a move would mean the Jets would be carrying a lot of dead money for a couple of years. With that being said, if they want to have a fresh start, they have to get rid of some of their quarterbacks. If they believe Geno is indeed the man, having Sanchez on the roster is only going to make the Jets a bigger circus than they already are. It will be interesting...
