14 - Dallas Cowboys -- Mark Barron, SS, Alabama While the Cowboys would love to see Dontari Poe slide to them here with the 14th pick, that’s not going to happen. They will make a solid decision here to attempt to gain some immediate starting talent at the strong safety position. In recent years that has consistently been a weak area in Dallas and this year they will begin to address that problem. Barron has the speed and size to contribute to his ability to jump right in and make an immediate impact in Dallas. Who they could draft - Dontari Poe, Fletcher Cox, Quinton Coples
15 - Philadelphia Eagles -- Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina The Eagles built a Dream Team prior to last season, or so they thought. It didn’t take long to realize they were missing a key piece somewhere on this team. That piece needs to be plugged in to the defense in the form of a solid pass rusher, someone to instill a little fear in opposing Quarterbacks. Couples can bring that to the Eagles. Although he had some consistency issues in his final season at North Carolina he should turn into a solid and productive NFL pass rusher. Who they could draft -- Michael Brockers, Fletcher Cox, Ryan Tannehill (he won’t fall this low but a trade is not out of the question) 16 - New York Jets -- Nick Perry, DE/OLB, USC This one is a little tricky, the Jets simply have to many needs. One that really jumps out though is they absolutely can not get to the Quarterback, ever. Drafting Nick Perry here will give them someone for opposing offenses to actually worry about. He should be able to create a fairly immediate impact for the Jets and enjoy some success. Who they could draft -- Mark Barron, Courtney Upshaw, Cordy Glenn 17 - Cincinnati Bengals --Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina The cornerback position burned the Bengals on more than one occasion last season. If second year man Andy Dalton can keep the offense moving then the defense needs to step up and make some solid stands. Gilmore has the ability to shut down big plays, the kind that the Bengals divisional opponents really love to make, long passes for touchdowns. Gilmore stops a few more of those and the Bengals make a much deeper playoff run. Who they could draft -- David Decastro (if he falls this low the Bengals wont pass him up), Michael Floyd, Dre Kirkpatrick 18 - San Diego Chargers -- Courtney Upshaw, OLB, Alabama The Chargers really also need to address their ability to get to the Quarterback (that seems to be a trend in this portion of the draft). Upshaw is the best player left on the board to get that done for San Diego so they take him here. Who they could draft -- Dre Kirkpatrick, Stephon Gilmore, Whitney Mercilus 19 - Chicago Bears -- Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor Kendall Wright would be the perfect compliment to Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler. He also would provide another threat to pull guys off the line to allow more room for Matt Forte to make big plays. This pick makes sense and would help give the Bears an even more potent offensive unit that could end up at the top of the league. Who they could draft -- Quinton Coples, Stephen Hill, Stephon Gilmore 20 - Tennessee Titans - Michael Brockers, DT, LSU Brockers has the ability to step in and show solid run defense and also throws in a pretty effective pass rush. The combination of these talents will thrill the Titans who could use someone multitalented. He would quickly jump ahead of the guys currently competing for this spot on the Titans roster and make a solid contribution in each game. Who they could draft -- Cordy Glenn, Melvin Ingram, Dre Kirkpatrick Please join us on our Facebook Page and follow us on Twitter @DailyShootout
