There will likely be a decision coming about Michael Vick‘s future in Philadelphia coming in the next few weeks. Vick is due a roster bonus three days after the Super Bowl. If the team is not interested in bringing him back next season under rookie head coach Chip Kelly, he will likely receive an outright release. There has been a lot of speculation as to where he might land, but don’t look for him to join the New York Jets. The Jets have hired former Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg but reports suggest that he and Vick have a rocky relationship. Vick has stated that he feels that he has a lot of football left in him and wants to join another team next season if he is indeed released by the Eagles. The soon to be 33-year old quarterback struggled this season and suffered what was reported as a “significant” concussion. His injury gave way to rookie Nick Foles finding the field. Perhaps one landing spot that makes the most sense is with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs...

  • Can't say as I blame him for not wanting to join the jets, in spite of the fact that he's still trying to get out from under serious debt. Rex ryan is a moron and the jets have to be one of the worse run organizations in the NFL. What's it been since Namath helped them hoist the Lombardi...43 years? They're a joke and have the perfect guy in charge of the circus. Watch, someone will give Tebow a shot and figure out a way to win with him just like the Broncos did. But the jests on the other hand will fail miserably again under rex 'The Clown Prince of Coaches' ryan.
  • I would say he would be a good fit for the Jets if the Jets would get rid of Ryan. He is a disgrace to the NFL. Vick is still a great QB, I would love to see him stay and help Philly or go to the Dallas Cowboys and helpo them win it all.

Michael Vick Has No Interest in the Jets

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that quarterback Michael Vick has no interest in playing for the Jets next season.Fantasy Spin:The Jets could really use a QB and with the Eagles likely to cut him, Vick could be the best quarterback on the open market this offseason. Mrs. Welker Apologizes For Ray Lewis Rant

Getty Images Well, it seems we live in a forgiving time.  Many have awarded Michael Vick a second chance in their hearts, along with Super Bowl bound Ray Lewis after being acquitted for murder 12 years ago.  Perhaps the masses can forgive Anna Welker also for her ill-advised, poorly timed comments concerning Ray Lewis. In frustration, Mrs. Welker took to Facebook, which is used...

Report: Eagles continue to lean towards releasing Vick

ESPN’s John Clayton made an appearance on Mike and Mike in the Morning  on ESPN Radio and was asked about the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback situation with Chip Kelly now as their head coach. “The early word seems to be they’ll make a couple changes there,” said Clayton.  ”Now they’ll have Nick Foles under contract, so there’s no decision that has to be made...

Jets hire Marty Mornhinweg as OC

The Jets have hired an offensive coordinator with some semblance of how to put together a passing game that works.  NFL.com is reporting that the team has hired Marty Mornhinweg to install an attacking offense. The Eagles offense under Mornhinweg  was a Top 10 scoring offense from 2008-11.  The question now will be whether or not    Michael Vick follows Marty to New York as...

Potential 2013 Philadelphia Eagles roster changes

The 2012 season is over for the Philadelphia Eagles and now we look onto the potential 2013 Philadelphia Eagles roster changes. Jets Unlikely To Pursue Vick, May Target Tarvaris Jackson

Yesterday we reported that the New York Jets had hired Mart Mornhinweg to be their new offensive coordinator.  With that hire came the immediate reports that Mornhinweg might try to bring Michael Vick with him. That rumor can probably bet put to bed pretty early now. Per Pro Football Talk,  ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Vick and Mornhinweg did not really get along, and wouldn’t...

Jets Rumors: New York Unlikely to Add Michael Vick, Alex Smith

The New York Jets do not seem to be a realistic fit for expected free agents-to-be Michael Vick and Alex Smith and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn, according to Brian Costello of The New York Post. Because the team won’t have much to spend on the quarterback position, Costello says that cheaper veteran alternatives, including Matt Moore, Tavaris Jackson, Jason Campbell...

Mark Sanchez hasn’t been demoted from the Jets’ starting quarterback spot yet. But, oh, if he is…. With the Jets finally hiring a new general manager in John Idzik, speculation has begun about what the team will do at quarterback. Tim Tebow is all but certainly gone, and Greg McIlroy doesn’t look like the quarterback of the future. While the organization may once again roll...
