The Oakland Raiders are coming off another disappointing season and will reportedly head into the NFL offseason well over the 2013 salary cap. One possible move for the Raiders will be to ask QB Carson Palmer to renegotiate his contract moving forward.  Oakland is expected to be approximately $4.5 million over the salary cap next season. Palmer has been lackluster under center during his tenure with the Raiders, winning just eight game while dropping 16. He has 35 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. His salary number is over $13 million next season and at this point in his career, he is certainly not worth the money. Of course, Palmer does not have to agree to a salary reduction, and then Oakland would have to release him outright if he decides to holdout. The Raiders really don’t have a lot of other options at the quarterback position. There is a lackluster free agent pool and no really surefire, can’t miss in the rookie quarterback class this season. Oakland has Terrelle Pryor o...
