Found May 14, 2012 on Eagles Eye:
Rookie minicamp 2012 wrapped up dramatically with Andy Reid declaring last year's draftee Stanley Havili the #1 Fullback on the Eagles roster.  That's an important piece of the rookie puzzle solved and the second-year players group's challenge to "perk up" revealed... a substantial clue also as to what direction this Eagles offense is headed.Stanley Havili says he's worked out and trained harder in the past year, and it paid off in rookie camp with his promotion to FB #1. He was the Eagles 7th-round pick in 2011 from USC, at 6-0, 230, 4.6 speed... Havili scored more touchdowns receiving passes than rushing in his promotion kinda tells me something about where the Eagles want to go with the Fullback position in 2012. The Eagles wrapped up minicamp on a rainy Monday for their rookies and practice players from 2011. The only major casualty of the long weekend was defensive tackle Maurice Fountain, the oldest participant, who turns 30 in September...

Eagles’ Brent Celek to be “limited” in minicamp

After having shoulder and hernia surgery, there were some questions about Brent Celek’s health this offseason and the habitually mum Andy Reid was not providing any light on the situation. However, today Reid did comment that Celek would get only “limited reps” in next month’s mandatory minicamp. The first week of the season is still a long way off and I wouldn’t expect...

Andy Reid: Someone should sign Donovan McNabb

We haven’t seen Donovan McNabb have a successful football season since he led the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2009 when he threw for 3553 yards and 22 TDs while missing two games early in the season because of injury. But it was the performance of Kevin Kolb in those two missed games, and the emergence [...]

Andy Reid names Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman as the Eagles’ starting safeties

Along with linebacker, safety was a large and publicly shamed part of the Eagles’ defensive struggles last year as they went 8-8 and missed the playoffs in a season where most projected them to win 12, 13, or even 14 games. They addressed the linebacker position both through the draft and through trade this offseason, but have not added a safety to the mix, instead opting to hope...

Mychal Kendricks An Early Star Among Eagles Rookies

The Philadelphia Eagles wrapped up their rookie minicamp on Monday and there clearly seem to be some players winning early favor from the Eagles organization and head coach Andy Reid. One of those players is 2nd-round draft pick LB Mychal Kendricks. Reid praised what he saw from Kendricks, saying he “looked good out here.” The 5’11, 239 linebacker out of California and the...

Andy Reid thinks Donovan McNabb can still play

Donovan McNabb has yet to go on a single visit this offseason, or at all since being released midseason by the Vikings last year, but at least he has one supporter, former Head Coach Andy Reid, who said that he thinks McNabb can still play and that he looks good physically.
