The Oakland Raiders have cut their roster from 75 players to 53 tonight. Because other NFL teams also made cut downs, this roster is not set in stone. Oakland will now scour other released players to see if any can help the team. Here is the positional breakdown of the players kept.

Quarterbacks: Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Terrelle Pryor

Runningbacks: Darren McFadden, Taiwan Jones, Mike Goodson, Marcel Reese, Owen Schmitt

Wide Receivers: Darrius Heyward-Bey, Denarius Moore, Jacoby Ford, Juron Criner, Rod Streater

Tight Ends: Brandon Myers, Richard Gordon, David Ausberry

Offensive Lineman: Jared Veldheer, Cooper Carlisle, Stefen Wisniewski, Mike Brisiel, Khalif Barnes, Joseph Barksdale, Tony Bergstrom, Alex Parsons, Zach Hurd

Defensive Lineman: Richard Seymour, Matt Shaughnessy, Lamarr Houston, Tommy Kelly, Desmond Bryant, Dave Tollefson, Jamie Cumbie, Christo Bilukidi, Jack Crawford

Linebackers: Rolando McClain, Philip Wheeler, Miles Burris, Carl Ihenacho, Travis Goethel

Cornerbacks: Ron Bartell, Shawntae Spencer, DeMarcus Van ****, Pat Lee, Chimdi Chekwa, Coye Francies, Bryan McCann

Safeties: Michael Huff, Tyvon Branch, Matt Giordano, Mike Mitchell

Specialist: Shane Lechler (P), Sebastian Janikowski (K), Jon Condo (LS)

The Raiders also placed linebacker Aaron Curry on the Physically Unable to Perform List (PUP) making him unavailable until week six. Oakland also put safety Brandon Underwood (hip/groin), punter Marquette King (toe), and tight end Troy Humphrey (hamstring) on the injured reserve (IR) list, making them unavailable all season.
