Found October 17, 2012 on SteelerAddicts:
Head Coach Mike Tomlin came down from on high for his weekly press conference and announced what sounded more like a list of soldiers in the infirmary rather than a list of injured football players. Rashard Mendenhall, Isaac Redman, Maurkice Pouncey were called ‘questionable.’ Troy Polamalu, Marcus Gilbert and Chris Carter are each ‘out’ for Sunday night’s game in Cincinnati.Outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley is expected to play after missing last week with a hamstring issue. Let’s not forget that Woodley missed multiple games last season with a hamstring issue and came back too soon re-aggravating the injury. Let’s hope there is not a repeat of that on Sunday.Injuries in football are as old as the game itself and teams that have been able to step up and overcome are often the ones that raise trophies to end seasons. But how much is too much to overcome? Troy Polamalu’s absence is becoming more and more of an expectation yet, there is little depth behind him. Ryan Mundy is struggling...

Antonio Gates fights with Mike Adams (Video)

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates and Denver Broncos safety Mike Adams got into a fight during the second quarter of Monday night's NFL game at Qualcomm Stadium. Gates got the better end of the deal in more ways than one. Not only did he win the fight, but he got away scot-free while Adams was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness. H/T Cosby. Visit...

Antonio Gates Mixes It Up With Mike Adams

The usually calm Antonio Gates lost his cool on Monday night when the San Diego Chargers took on the Denver Broncos. Antonio Gates caught a pass for a first down in the 2nd quarter and was tackled by Denver’s Mike Adams, and then took exception to the tackle. Mike Adams pushed first and was flagged, but it still baffles me how Gates didn’t get flagged on the play. Article...

Steelers rookie tackle Adams learning on the fly

(Eds: Restores previous.) By WILL GRAVES AP Sports Writer Mike Adams was standing on the sideline, minding his own business when his NFL career got a kick-start. A minute after Pittsburgh Steelers starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert went down with a hyperextended right knee early in the season opener against the Broncos, Adams found himself lining up across the line from Denver...

How the Steelers can help rookie Mike Adams and Ben Roethlisberger vs the Bengals

The Pittsburgh Steelers look  more like a M.A.S.H. unit than a football team these days. Then again, that’s pretty much the same song and dance we run into every year. Each week there’s at least one new face in the lineup for some period of time, and it seems to hit the offensive line the most. Heading into week 7, things are basically status quo then, since rookie tackle Mike...

Below are the offensive player play counts and participation chart for the Pittsburgh Steelers week 6 loss the Tennessee Titans. Player Notes: The injuries suffered by both Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman obviously limited their snaps and was the reason that Baron Batch saw so much playing time. Chris Rainey saw his fewest snaps of the season in this game. The Steelers...
